Cargo Shorts

I’m guessing most people that dont approve of cargo shorts being in style also have worn skinny jeans recently. In which case all of your fashion opinions have been invalidated.
Plus Im in my 40s and have kids. Need those pocket for pacifiers, toys, butt wipes, wallet, weed, etc. I travel heavy now.

Being a parent and needing to be practical heavily outweighs being a fashionista.

I've never been an early adopter of fashion trends. In the 80/90s I avoided the following trends that people burn their old pictures because of:
Mullet
Bowl cut
Stripes in your fade/stripes in your eyebrow
Rat tail
Big bangs, yes even on guys
Chains
Overdone acid washed jeans
Massive amounts of neon. I dabbled a bit, but never dove in
Pastel shirts
Tshirts with suit jackets over them
JNCO jeans!
Shredded jeans. I did have a few holes, but nothing ridiculous
Wearing your clothes BACKWARDS
Trendy overalls with one strap undone
Overall shorts with one strap undone!!! I actually bought some late but couldn't bring myself to wear them. They sat in my closet until a few months later when noone would ever wear them again.
I've also never worn a flat billed baseball cap, with or without the sticker, skinny jeans,
Because of all of this, most of my fashion has been "boring" but I'd rather be boring than "fit in" for a week and buy new clothes for the next trend.
And even avoiding all of that, I did participate in some things that ended up trendy. I admit to tight rolling my jeans a few times, wearing flannel, I had a hyper-color shirt, and a shirt with a gecko on it... I also bleached my hair one summer and my siblings have NEVER let me forget it.
Fashion does not generally dictate anything to me.
Yeah, much better to cram all that **** in your cargo shorts.
Guys I have a couple of grad parties this weekend and a presentation I am giving tomorrow so I decided I should look sharp. MrsWx had a 30% coupon to Kohls so I decided to pick myself up a pair of these new fangled golf shorts. I have to admit I need to eat some crow. They look really good with by tube socks and New Balance kicks.
This is the dumbest argument that I see all the time.

Exactly. The only time I was ever close to this was when I lost 45 lbs for wrestling in high school., but it wasn't on purpose. I just needed new jeans and a smaller belt!
