You're next stop needs to be Ottertail, MN. Very jorts-centric.I’m in Muscatine Iowa. Nobody has told them about the cargo thing yet. Everyone is wearing them. I think I might go back to them
I work at a gym in Chicago and yes, people still wear sweatpants.People still wear sweatpants? I haven't worn sweatpants since grade school.
I guess it depends upon your definition of sweatpants.People still wear sweatpants? I haven't worn sweatpants since grade school.

I also lump “training” pants in the same category as sweatpants.
They’re polyester, not cotton, and tighter fitting around the legs. (Skinny jeans of the sweatpants)Training pants? That sounds like something my toddler will be wearing soon while he's potty training.

I wear cargo shorts daily. Last week my wife was dressing our 2-year-old son and she got out a pair of cargo shorts for him. He immediately shouted "Daddy!"
My daughter is afraid my shorts will be too short. We lived in South Africa for a while and I threatened to go with this style...she was mortified!

I'm not exactly sure what to make of this but I think you're telling us that South Africa corn country is now at the cutting edge of fashion instead of Milan, NYC and Paris.I’ve spent time in the Oranjeville and Potchefstroom areas in South Africa which is their corn country and Swellendam in cereals country. The ongoing joke is the best thermometer is the length of the farmers shorts. Every farmer and agronomist I met there was dressed exactly like your top picture.
This post is worthless without pictures.I was in Kentucky/Cincinnati over Memorial Day weekend. As I'm walking around seeing short styles I'd never seen before, I continually thought of this thread.
