2016 Rio Summer Olympics

I'm confused. First it was stated that NBC was tailoring their coverage to women. Next it is said that they will only cover women if they are hot. Which women exactly are they tailoring it to? NTTIAWWT

Mtown said that NBC said they target women with drama. I think they need men to watch women's sports so they probably like to show stuff with hot women and skimpy outfits. Seems otherwise that women like Kristin Armstrong and Katie Ledecky would get a lot more hype than they do.

This must have been discussed already, but is NBC trying to ensure that nobody watches their news or even anything on their station when the olympics aren't on? I just turned on the tv and the first thing I heard was Lester Holt just blurting out a major spoiler in show preview for their nightly news. Beyond just the butt holiness of it all, how is that a wise business move?

That's why I went out to feed the kittens. He did that last night or the night before as well. Decided I wouldn't give him the chance tonight.

Yeah, I'm hating the coverage NBC has on the olympics. I use social media for drama stories. I watch t.v. to watch things happening live, not hear grown people talk like gossipy children.

On a similar note, if they put highlights up of the competition I would love to watch a few of the things I miss throughout the day. Unfortunately, I can't find meaningful replays very easily. They make it hard to find things I care about. To get rid of this anxiety, i just stop caring about it.

YouTube is the best place but even then they don't show a whole lot

I wish team fencing was more like a free for all battle. Get like five or ten competitors for each team and last team standing wins gold.
Back in my fencing days we use to play a game call highlander. Which was one giant free for all for everyone. It was filled with alliances and back stabbingn. Sadly we always played with Épée rules and I was never totally accustomed to them since I was a foil and later sabre fencer. I still remember that being one of my more favorite games we played after practice.

Anymore I don't care what NBC shows. I've streamed every Judo match so far and once that's over I'll stream every Wrestling match. Plus I'll stream highlights from other sport's. With an extra monitor hooked up at work and a Roku with NBC Sports app in the evening I haven't even considered turning on the Primetime coverage.

As long as they stream every IOC camera feed I couldn't care less how much time they spend on human interest stories and made up rivalries.

I would love it if they would show the OTHER gymnasts. Instead, we get replays in regular time and super slo mo, pacing, tape wrapping, coaches conferring, ridiculously endless waits between the routines. WHY can't they pan over to floor ex between vaults, alternate beam & bars? It's time delayed for pete's sake...

They did have a nice interview of Kayla Harrison on some network, but I agree,if I really want to watch something, online is the way to go.
