White Helmets!!

I think all-gold (yellow) should wait until we have gold (yellow) helmets.
Even then, I am not so sure...If we're going to "color block", I think the all-red and all-white are better options. With the red accent all-yellow is a bit much. Looks better for Cal, WVU, Toledo w/ blue...at least to me.

I agree. Not a great look either way, but white helmet, white top, white shoes, white gloves would look better than Bowens pic. Campbell has mentioned "accessories" as part of the plan for this season. I wouldn't be surprised to see the white/gold/gold combo seen in the pic with the white accessories this season. The old folks are going to be ******.
I like the white helmets and like the yellows more than most people. But I don't really like that combo. It could grow on me, I suppose.

Again, just a thought I have had the past couple of years. Incorporate the "I-State" logo onto the old Walking Cy, Basketball Cy, Football Cy, Leaning Cy logos. (Still keep them all as secondary logos though, as I-State is the solid, more traditional mark.)

Oh this needs to happen. I would buy one of these helmets if it was a one-off game/auction.

Put me in the camp that thinks a white helmet requires at least white accents on the jersey.
Our new white helmet is perfect for a white out, but without incorporating white into the jersey or pants, that is pretty much all it looks good with.

I said we should only wear the white helmet with white jerseys and white pants, and this photo only reinforces that opinion. Not a good look at all.
Looking at some of Toledo's combos the last few years, I think we'll be seeing some pretty ugly combo's ourselves this year.
Why would recruits want to wear or like all yellow uniforms? Also why can't the athletic department distinguish the difference between yellow and gold. Iowa State colors are cardinal and gold not yellow.
I wish they'd go to a more matte finish and less shiny helmet. This coming from a Notre Dame fan. Similar to how the helmets looked against Toledo last year. Minnesota did the same and their unis look great.
Granted im a newer fan of ISU fan but am not new to Iowa. First lived here from 99-02. I've been back for a yr and my oldest daughter looks to go to ISU.
Other teams am are going with a matte finish. Even the NY Yankees have a matte batting helmet I like (and I'm a Red Sox fan - family is from the Boston area).
Go ahead - flame me and call me whatever. I've been married since 98 and was in the military before that. Probably not much I haven't been called up to this point.

Sorry.... strongly disagree. We need to ditch the matte helmet permanently. I hate it every time we wear it. Awful.
