OT: Random facts that really surprised me

GREAT! NOW I WANT TO WATCH REVENGE OF THE NERDS. THANKS A LOT.

*******.

I recently watched that movie. It has not aged very well... except for Booger. He's still hilarious.

This isn't right. Indiana (at least all but a western sliver) is Eastern standard time.

Also, I believe Arizona does not follow Daylight Savings Time, either. I had a clinical in Phoenix, and distinctly remember being on Pacific time.

This movie is over 30 years old

Wearing headphones for just an hour will increase the bacteria in your ear by 700 times.
In the course of an average lifetime you will, while sleeping, eat 70 assorted insects and 10 spiders.

We don't, and it's infuriating. Since we don't change our clocks and nearly everyone I work with is in a different state, my calendar goes all sorts of crazy when the clocks change. Meetings start moving based on who set it up, there is overlap, some meetings moving, others staying the same. It's anarchy, I tell ya! I have to get up an hour earlier for work in the summer, which isn't so bad because it's 250 degrees and the sun comes up at 4:30.

But seriously, it's time for DST to be done.

Just because Arizona isn't on board doesn't mean that DST should go. There are valid economic reasons for it to be around in the majority of states.

No, just stay on DST. That hour of sun later in the day would be nice in the winter.
