Yet he didn't do that this time. Just because he did it once doesn't excuse him from failing later.

What is he supposed to do....bench your All-American PG because he wants to take the shot rather than run the play. Different scenario tonight...I don't disagree with not calling the timeout but Monte has to get it to the lane or kick it to Nader or Thomas or Niang for a jumper.

Sometimes I watch his highlights in the dark while listening to Hero by Enrique Iglesias.

For those that think this is a Prohm issue go check the Texas Tech replay. Play was designed for Georges. He had the position and Monte had the angle.....and he didn't get a touch but instead we are chucking three pointers when the game is tied. Say what you want about Fred but he would have come unglued if he saw Monte chucking a long contested two or three in back-to-back late game situations.

This is so accurate. I'm guessing this is the last time Monte takes a deep shot like that with the game on the line

Not getting the ball enough, we go away from him for way too long. Baylor had no answer for him and we just allow them to take him out of the game for way too long. another coaching failure.

This is actually on Prohm, use your timeout, get Georges the ball. Awful in game coaching. Just awful.

I'm OK with not taking the timeout there. Monte knows what to do in that situation and they were going to set up a play to defend the high ball screen and try to deny Niang from getting the ball if we took a timeout. Monte just made a not great decision

Lots of things to pin on Prohm but don't blame the last seconds of Texas Tech and Baylor on him. Coach designed a play for Georges and Monte didn't run it in Lubbock. Tonight....Monte had no intention on giving up that ball. Have to shift the closer role back to Georges at this point but then who knows....maybe that would cause another player to throw a tantrum.

It's not like Georges is automatic at the end. Or do we not remember the UAB game?

An all time great with an awful supporting cast and a coach who doesn't seem to realize that he can win games for you if you draw a play up for him at the end.

Like Fred did for UAB? I know we want it in Georges' hand, but they key on him big time, so he doesn't always get the best shot off either. The pick and roll play didn't open up vs. Tech either, even with a TO, and Monte missed a '3' then, too. Coach was giving them the read so it wasn't like he was drawing up a play to ignore Georges. But, yes, we'll need to work on something, because a 1on1 pull up '3' in the closing seconds hasn't been kind to Monte at all.

Has it stuck on automatic for about 10 minutes. Doesn't take a shot for last 6+ minutes in game. Lose in OT for the 32654876438757753457th time.

Congrats Georges for moving to the #3 all-time scoring position for ISU. We're really gonna miss you next year.

A mid range jumper is not a bad shot for Monte. Fred specifically told him not to settle for a 3 and he drove and got a better shot.

We have one of the best dribble penetrators in the country, and in crunch time he doesnt dribble penetrate when they have a chance to win it on the last shot. Probably the most frustrating part of this season for me. STOP TAKING CONTESTED 30 FOOTERS FOR THE WIN.

I am going to miss watching him. Hate to see the season in complete disarray. A final four appearance will make everything better though.

Hi, welcome to reality atlantacyclone. This team ain't going to a final four. Will be lucky to make it out of the first round.
