There aren't any players left that will be significant enough players down the line that missing out on them is doing harm to the program. This is much to-do over nothing.
Recruiting doesn't focus solely on next year.

I've had a heart procedure and you don't come out of it fast. I'll go with Dr Leath over anything the media tries to dig (or make) up. The back pedaling has begun (see J's point #2) and will kick into full blown retreat before you know it. It's all good. Fred stays.
I'm thinking of joining the local Optimists Club.

A big one with some extra hardware put in by a hokeye doc in CR. No fun. This all makes sense, but I didn't know you had a heart.
And Fred sends his regards:

I'd agree with you if there was one shred of evidence.
We have offers our to recruits who are saying they're watching it closely including 5th year transfers and direct statements from our AD. If that's not proof that he's considering it, I don't know what is.
If Fred wasn't considering the NBA he would be closing the deal with Beilfeldt. That takes one five minute phone call.
I said down the line, not next year. Look at the list of transfers that haven't found a home yet. There really isn't anything of note out there. There are no decent recruits out there for this class and there isn't any impact to 2016 or 2017 kids since they aren't signing any time soon anyways.Recruiting doesn't focus solely on next year.
Well this could get dragged out...
@ESPNSteinLine: More and more you hear Thibs admirers around NBA say they fear Bulls determined to let all three open jobs get filled and then let Thibs go

That just screams organization I would want to work for.
or they think their relationship will be better with any of the other big names floating out there than it is with thibs...And assuming that is true, it's further confirmation that the Bulls aren't worried about hiring the new guy, since they have a commitment from Hoiberg.
I'd assume other teams aren't willing to give up draft picks for him, so now theyre just trying to spite Thibs. If you want to trade Thibs why would you let the other jobs get filled? I don't know basketball policy so is there a benefit to doing that?
