A) I think Morris and Mason could be interchangeable, also depends if they take 2 pgs and a sg, or 1 pg 1 sg and 1 sf "as 1-5 serves."
B) I think Gathers deserves 1st team over Nash
C) Freshman can't get all big 12 newcomer (I thought). In lieu of all that - Thomas, BDJ or Mckay, Hickey.
-Foster fell off. Oubre could be on 2nd or 3rd team.

Other than that looks good.

I didn't think freshmen were eligible for the newcomer of the year award.

Freshmen can make newcomer team but not newcomer of the year award. I don't think BDJ makes third team. Personally I'd give it to Hogue over BDJ

It's hard to believe Frank Mason would be above Monte, when Frank isn't even on the Bob Cousy Award list, and Morris is a finalist. I'd say 1st team would go to Morris.

Agreed on Morris and Mason, very interested to see how it ends up. Freshman can make the newcomer team.

gotcha. talking about different things, then.

If Niang and Morris both arent on it i will be pretty surprised. Morris is the best big 12 point guard.

I'd go with this right now:

1st Team
Gathers
Staten
Nash
Hield
Mason (not really sure on this 5th guy)

2nd Team
Niang
Morris
Ellis
Forte
T. Prince

3rd Team
Spangler
R. O'Neale (belongs with Hogue on the all-underappreciated team)
Cousins
I. Taylor
M. Turner

Sorry if I missed anybody.

Oubre's played less than 20 minutes in about 5 B12 games already. He's not all conference material based on his production. On talent, yes.

KU and ISU separating themselves but doing it with balanced team play and scoring really makes this year hard to guess. Regardless of Stats I think you have to have Ellis, Mason, Niang and Morris represented in the first two teams with some 1st team rep.

If we had a guy with Gathers B12 stats we'd be howling for him as first team.

That's kind of what I was thinking as well when I said interchangeable. I just think Morris is more of a complete pg.

Morris makes 1st team, Im not sure Niang does.

Niang 1st team
Morris 2nd team

That'd be my guess, Niang is getting more focus from opposing defenses without Ejim or Kane and is top 20 in a ton of Big 12 statistical categories

I have it the other way, but you do make a point. Its just awesome to see so many accolades coming in for the players.
