I like to think that the reason that this thread is so long is because ISU fans are lightning focused on the first game of the season and have nothing else to talk about .... not that our program has fallen to the point where we have a actually engage the proverbial Yorkie barking at the Pitbull.

It doesn't matter where our program is, SOME (not all) Biso fans will think they're superior regardless.

Love Wrassling. NDSU been top 25 recently and your ISU coach along with Gopher Roger Kish will keep NDSU in the top 20.

yea I got no FRIENDS..... Sniff Sniff. whaaaaaaa.

Ok this game is getting close, smack talk ends and game prep begins. best of luck to everyone at CyFanatic!
Way to be a hypocrite. You talk all this smack (even in this post you do) then say no more smack talk. Make up your mind. You change your mind more than a teenage girl.

Funny thing is that as amazing of a program as you have, maybe 5% of people outside alum of D3 football fans could name what conference you are in and more than 90% of America knows what conference Iowa State is a member of. You also talk like NDSU is superior to ISU in every single way when your school has an endowment fund that any Big 12 school, even West Virginia, would laugh at. Your school isn't worth a damn in any single way.

I'm not sure why all the hate toward an FCS program that has had more national notoriety than our program has. When Gameday comes to Ames let me know. I have full respect for NDSU. Winning 3 straight FCS championships is incredible no matter the division. Just because we are on TV doesn't mean squat. It's all relative.

Wake up and smell the coffee. Nobody ever hated NDSU, it's lakesbison that has ruined everything and changed that view now. More national notoriety? They play FCS football. Nobody gives a darn about the FCS. You sound like a troll.

I think I can speak for everyone that the NDSU trolls are the reason why everyone is bashing NDSU. They constantly talk up NDSU like they are the greatest football team to ever be fielded. It's one thing to support your team but another to go on an opponents message board and act like ISU doesn't deserve to be on the same field as NDSU..especially when their opponent is in a major FBS conference. And I highly disagree with what you said after that. Yes in their eyes it may be pretty cool to win 3 straight FCS championships but in the grand scheme of college athletics nobody cares.

Troll, lol. I've been going to games since before you were probably born. There's 239 pages of fans feeding into lake bison's trolling. He's a die hard fan who lives for getting everyone's panties in a bind.

I'm glad you feel the need to keep repeating that our program has apparently fallen so far down the ladder. If you don't want to read this thread, don't open it.

Lol fail. They do not have more notoriety than even us. To say other wise is just foolish. Do you know why they went to Fargo for game day? Most likely not.

He won't be hard to find. He will be the guy talking everyone's ears off about how NDSU is the best football team in the country and whine that Bama won't play NDSU. Maybe he will bring "his smoking hot wife" that he keeps preaching about. I am calling BS on that and the rest of nonsense he spews.

He'll also be standing next to his best friend, Magic Johnson

The FBS wins in football are impressive for an FCS school. But that is one game a year and I'm not sure wins again CSU and Western Michigan are something to use as proof we "belong". But since you always bring up bball and a softball win from 5 years ago I decided to dive a little further into the numbers of NDSU against power 5 schools on a handful of sports since becoming D1. Some totals may be a little different as some schools were in different conferences at the time of playing NDSU but I lumped them in with their current conference. I also added games against UNI and Drake for a local flavor but are not added to power 5 totals. I will let the numbers speak for themselves.

Mens Basketball 3-21 v Power 5 teams. 1-7 v Big 12
Big 12 1-7
ISU 0-2 Both games during McDermott era
ACC 1-0
Big 10 1-9
Pac 12 0-4
SEC 0-1
Drake 0-2

Womens Basketball 2-12 v Power 5 Teams 0-4 v Big 12
Big 12 0-4
ISU 0-1
ACC 0-0
Big 10 1-6
Pac 12 0-0
SEC 1-2
UNI 1-4
Drake 0-2

Softball 22-99 vs Power 5 Teams 5-11 v Big 12
W
Big 12 5-11
ISU 2-5
ACC 4-11
Big 10 7-32
Pac 12 3-19
SEC 3-26

Wrestling 7-26 v Power 5 Teams 0-3 v Big 12
Big 12 0-3
ISU 0-3
ACC 4-3
Big 10 0-12
Pac 12 3-5

Geez Farmin, how much time did you put into finding this info? So you are trying to prove Lakes like to emblish some things? That was shown about 200 pages ago. Wouldn't your time been better spent working on your tailgate rig or having a beer with your friends talking about how ISU is going to annihilate NDSU?

Lakes, you should hand out little packets of green and gold glitter when you are signing autographs in their tailgate. Kind of symbolizes the pixie dust some of the posters need to have sprinkled on them. You have had GTO, ribs, thomrick and some others frothing at the mouth for 8 mos with typical trash talk. They don't seem to realize you are pretty harmless. The site admin was brilliant for keeping Lakes around. Talk about a site traffic driver.

Now about the game. Bibbs concerns me. He is big and fast. I am hoping Beck and Heagle will be defending him. Both of those guys can put the wood to receivers. Hopefully a couple solid tackles/hits will make Bibbs a little more tenative in his routes and catches.

I think our run defense will be good. I worry about the long ball from ISU. We got burned a couple times with KSU. To me, if there is one position group that FBS distances itself from FCS, it is the wide receivers. That extra .10-.20 sec or 1 or 2 inches in height can obviously make a difference. I hope the stripes let them play ball.

My predictions:
NDSU will have more rushing yards. ISU will have more passing yards.
Both of QB will throw a INT.

Changing my score prediction from 27 - 10 to 27 - 14 NDSU. Bibbs scores one of the TD's. I think that you will have a good day passing but hopefully it won't turn into too many points. Hope the weather works in our favor. Remember its just a game.

CyFan's traffic is perfectly fine without Lakes. The admins here just aren't as trigger happy on the banhammer as other sites. Besides, how could we pass on the opportunity to see your meltdown if your team loses? You've all obviously lost touch with reality.

I hope your defense focuses on just Bibbs. That'd be swell.

Don't worry about my meltdown, because there won't be one. Its a game. My life doesn't revolve around college football. If ISU wins, I will be back to offer congrats.

Again have you noticed its the same about 8 people that say the same things. Beleive it or not some of us are educated, and know not to even try and get into some of those messes of threads. A Good share of Bison fans are realistic that we have lost alot. There are some though that so spoiled in the wins and championships that they beleive the Bison will never lose. I know, this game is going to be a tough one for the Bison and hope it pours and turns into a mess. That will help the defense out, where we can stack a box better, and not have to worry about the big passing attack. Sorry for the rant, I wanted you all to know we are all not as bad as some poeple make us out to be.

Bibbs should concern you. He will play on Sundays next year. He is big, fast, and athletic. Bibbs plays in the Big 12. Your LB's will not intimidate him. Your LB's have faced nothing like Bibbs. It is far more likely that they become intimidated and frustrated with how Mark Mangenius uses him. We have many offensive weapons. You are delusional about the final score.

I got a mention! My life is now complete... All kidding aside, I know that not all Bison fans are jerks, but there are a few that think they could do better in a 9 game schedule against the Big12 year in and year out. Look at TCU and WV and see what happened to them. TCU was a great team and even beat Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl. People just need to realize that playing 1 big game a year is not the same as a grinding schedule against at least 4-5 Top25 ranked teams each year.
