Concern for next year

I will say we will have to play really small at times if Niang, Hogue, or Edozie went down, but considering some of the teams we will be playing we can probably get away with that.

Can we get a thumbs down button? And not for the OP.

I get what you're saying but the number of available players won't be the problem. We'll just be really small until Nader can play, and fairly small until McKay is eligible.

I have a weird gut feeling that McKay's waiver is going to be approved because the NCAA loves Mayor McHoiberg.

Not concerned with the 9 available number, but it does illustrate how silly the claim that transfer recruiting hurts PT for prep recruits.

I do think we have a need for a 5th year forward, but it may not be worth what we would miss out on in the redshirt market.

Nader will probably miss the first 3-4 non-conference games. Not a big deal even if we have a Michigan type game. 1 loss early on wont kill us.

So is the sky falling or is that just the stupidity of this thread bopping me on the head.

They played with Hogue at PF when Ejim was out and again vs UNC in the tourney. Lack of size isn't going to hurt us in many noncon games. If they pick up a couple of losses, that's not the end of the world. McKay will be there for the conference season and that's when they'll have to make a run.

Oh. I thought this was a football thread. Because I am pretty damn concerned about the 2014 campaign.

Basketball?? Trust Freddie!

I'm not worried at all.

Niang, Hogue, Morris, Naz and BDJ have all shown they're more than capable of being above average Big 12 players for their position.

Nader, McKay and Thomas have a lot of signs and skills pointing toward them being the same.

SDW, Edozie, and Custer..at least one of these guys should/could step in and be a major contributor off the bench.

Should be deeper than this year even before McKay plays.

Spiderman thread. Yes, definitely spiderman.

Fred said something once along the lines that Jackson could contribute in the future. That's good enough for me.

I've heard Jackson is actually pretty solid. I saw a pic of him and Naz after they had gotten done lifting and Jackson is a big guy, pretty cut. If anything you know hes giving a solid look in practice. Maybe he'll get minutes eventually, would be sorta cool.
