First game was a close one: 114-110, with Thomas/SDW's team beating Naz Long's team. All 3 played well and scored quite a bit. Thomas was key late to seal the W. Monte Morris dominating game 2 at the half. His team, with Edozie, beating Niang/Ellerman 58-46 at half. Edozie hasn't done much yet. Great fun to watch these guys!

Do the new guys (Morris, Thomas, Hogue, Bluford, Edozie) seem to like each other, and fit in with the returning guys? I remember last year thinking there was a really tight bond amongst the guys. They all seemed to joke around and just enjoyed each other.

Is there that same vibe?

they all play against each other and show up at different times, so it's kind of hard to get a read on it from tonight..

They have only been together for a few days and even the whole team is not here yet. This will take some time.....likely the whole Summer and part of this Fall. I don't think we will know much about this until the season starts.

In the past two years, some of the players had an advantage of sitting out a year together. This is a little different situation this year.

Edozie is raw, yes, but he's a workhorse.

I agree with this. Will he ever be a 20 point a game guy? Nope. Can he play the Booker/enforcer role for 10-12 minutes a game, giving hustle, rebounding, D, etc? Absolutely.

Best of all, he works hard and cares. Can't coach that. I think he will contribute.

Yeah, that's why I asked. Completely different, compared to the last 2.

Just got back. Fun time. I can give a recap on all the players I watched closely.

Daniel Edozie - Didn't really do much, but I didn't see an all out effort either. He is going to be a project but he could be a very big piece in 2014 if he puts in the work. Right now he has no shot though.

Sherron Dorsey-Walker - I don't know if he'll start, but he'll get big minutes. He is a SG/SF with handles who can also shoot. He is going to be big for this team.

Percy Gibson - well I was watching him until I noticed he was walking at all times. Scored a few times. Made 4 threes, 4/6 I think.
