. When confronted with someone who's not into soccer, a lot of soccer fans go into cult recruiting mode and pull out the 'world's most popular sport' stuff. I don't care, I'm not into it, leave me alone.

If you cut that crap out, most soccer haters would go back to just not caring.

I DESPISE soccer. Mostly because it is taking too many kids away from Little League baseball. I get tired of seeing kids in my neighborhood kicking that damn ball in their backyard instead of playing wiffle ball. If I could put every soccer player and fan in a single spot and nuke them...I would (not serious, but you get the point).

Which for me and most other guys is completely UNLIKE sex. just sayin

1. It's not just baseball fans that say soccer sucks. It's 80% of America.
2. Whoever said MLB is dying and MLS is rising...I'm still laughing. I agree MLB is dying, but MLS will never reach MLB fandom. And I'd say MLS hasn't been improving their fandom either. Not many people can name 2 MLS teams.

Expanding was the term, not rising. I guess adding multiple teams doesn't qualify as expanding? You know nothing about soccer fandom, anybody can throw out percentages, I already did once in this thread.

I'm not saying it's more difficult to play soccer an elite level than it is baseball at an elite level. All I'm saying is you'd have no clue as whether that's true or not. I'd like to know what your soccer background is. I'm sure you were awesome when you were 8.

That's fair. But you get the point. If you've had time to establish your product for 80 years you have a leg up on a product that's been around for 16 years, with many of of the franchises being younger than a decade old.
