Last but not least is the distant cousin from Iowa. Of all the relatives, she's the most unremarkable. She pretty much minds her own business, but she's been in the family from the beginning and we keep her around. Uncle Whorn still isn't happy with her, but she provided Eldest Brother with quite a bit of amusement last year.

An excerpt of how we're seen in the conference.

In football, when has ISU ever beaten a team in a game where it realy mattered to them? If our conference rivalries and status are less than what we might like, that's probably the reason.

I think WVU is in for a surprise when they come to the Big 12 and begin playing. The bottom end of the Big 12 is not comprised of bad football teams, regardless of what impressions may be. It will be very interesting to see where WVU fits in once things get going.

Yeah, all this talk about how Mizzou and A&M are going to struggle in the SEC. TCU and WVU are the ones taking a much bigger step up in competition level.

Exactly. Welcome to the big 12 west Virginia. This ain't the big east. They will be sadly mistaken if they think isu is a cupcake.

I'll continue to say this...I have respect for UVW but they have no idea the difference in store when they move to the Big 12. This conference is freaking loaded. ISU is currently one of the bottom feeders and we would be quite successful in multiple leagues.

I pride myself in my watch making abilities.

That's really nice to know. Now stay away from me, Sylar...

Guys don't for a minute think we don't know we are stepping up into a much better conference. Every game including IOWA STATE will be very competitive. I still think since we are both outliers and rural, we may develop a rivalry.

What you really need to watch for are the flaming dumpsters rolling down the street in Ames. We're well aware of your couch fetish.

They're going to be in shock when they play quality teams every week. They're getting beat by Rutgers right now.
