NFL: Moss waived by Vikings

Really? Take of your glasses.

Childress elects not to kick a FG to start the game. 4th and 2 with what would have been a 40 yarder and he goes for it. Vikings don't score

Favre throws a TD to Percy but Percy slips and ball hits off his chest and bounces into arms of Dolphins player. Vikings don't score

Favre gets sacked and fumbles in endzone for a TD for Dolphins. Obviously his fault

Favre throws pass to B Berrian who is open for TD and Berrian doesn't come back for ball. Vikings Don't score

Vikings 4th and Goal at the 1 (have to go for it since Chilly didn't kick FG to start game). No gain for Peterson. Vikings don't score

How anybody can watch that game and blame Favre is beyond me. He played fine that game. Just one of those games when everything goes bad. Like the game yesterday

You're diggin deep. Farve played poorly in Dolphins game. He admitted so to the press later in the week. In addition to his 3 INTs and fumble, he bounced in several passes to open receivers. Unfortunately, those don't count in the NFL.

So the Vikings are neck and neck with the Jagwires in the race to get to Hollywood. One of those two will end up there. Place your bets.

I'm sorry but I'm officially disowning the Vikings until Childress is fired. By the time you will read this comment I will have taken them off my "favorite teams."

He may have played poor by his standards but he absolutely in no way cost them the game. No more than Childress, Harvin, Berrian or the OLINE did

ESPN's pregame show is like a funeral. Except Tom Jackson. He's unloading on Moss big time. He's the only guy that gets it.

Childress and somebody out of the front office have to go. Just look at some of the recent personnel and operational blunders:

1) Let Birk go....and the offensive line has not been the same since.

2) Let Taylor go when they did not have a 3rd down solution, and still don't.

3) Apparently are not close enough, or medical staff is clueless, so that Rice is not convinced to get needed surgery at the start of the off-season.

4) Poor play-calling all year.

5) Moss supposedly tries to give coaches NE tendencies....but they do not implement. Then, supposedly, after game they tell him he was right?

6) Moss mouths off at press conference, and this is a surprise? Was no one paying attention to him the first time he was in Minnesota, or in Oakland, or even his play in NE, sometimes taking plays off?

7) They embarrassingly send an entourage to recruit Favre for this year.

8) So bottom line.....they traded a 3rd round pick (which they will need next year with all the free agents) and Moss' salary for 2 touchdowns! BRILLIANT!

Personally, I don't think Childress has a clue. What has he done? Last year's success was on Favre, not him. He has to go....and some changes are needed in the front office too.

I think Randy said it best.....from his re-introductory press conference on Oct. 7, "To all the Vikings fans that are coming to the Metrodome, pull your 84 jerseys out, man. I think this is going to be a fun ride.''

Right on all points!!! I read comments attributed to Brad Johnson and Gus Ferrotte that they nicknamed Childress VK - Veteran Killer. He's not open to the players and it's his way or the highway. Obviously, his way is without a clue...

Glazer isn't saying he's staying, he just tweeted a couple of facts.

They must be trying to squeeze a draft pick out of somebody. Naturally when the Pats did this they kept absolutely mum and were able to get a 3rd rounder instead of letting it leak that they were cutting the player giving away all leverage in the transaction. Considering that the Vikes are trying to move a guy they just traded for they weren't going to have much leverage anyway but, it's interesting to see how two different organizations handle their business.

I love the Viking hate for Childress. I think you all are forgetting how horrible your QB has been too.

Pats traded a 4th rounder for him....3 years & 50 TDs later they dump him just in time, and pick up a 3rd rounder.... I'd say they played that pretty well (and the rich get richer)
