McDermott to Creighton?

He's around. He is trying to gather info so that he isn't putting BS out there. Right now he is quite and has only said there is a lot more to the McKnight situation than meets the eye. Give him some time, he was gone all weekend so I am sure he is scrambling.

1 of 6 possible candidates gathered by the OWH, not the CU AD. Unless, of course, the OWH and the CU AD have a much better relationship than the ISU AD and the Rag.
 
All ABC5 reported is that he was in WDM. This doesn't mean he was there for McDermott. ABC5 is looking for a potential story. Is it there? It might be or it might not. Fact is athletic directors use different locales for interviews with coaches. Just because it was WDM doesn't mean it is McDermott. They could be where the easiest flight was for the Indiana State guy to fly to Des Moines. My feeling is don't make something out of nothing at this point.

Did CU release the list of 6? I'll answer that for you...no they did not. Nobody knows who they are targeting except the CU AD.

This is just what every newspaper, messageboard, etc. does right after they lose a coach. Here are the Top 6. Usually that list isn't even on the same planet as what actually ends up happening.

The deal was that ABC5's sports department is headed by Walters.

This--my guess as well. We've been through enough of these to know that ADs usually find a spot that has an airport people can fly in to, like DSM.

Either way, this is Chizik all over again. Haven't really shown any results, but some are excited for the future (probably less so in this case).

But that place is usually somewhere you don't have to take a connecting flight to. Like a big city.

I'd think the omaha airport would be easier... or if you wanted to avoid that one, Kansas City is probably your next best bet, being a major hub.

Just got on here and am now giddy like a kid on Christmas waiting to find out the result of this.
 
Why on earth would he meet with a coach that wasn't Mac in Des Moines and subject himself to wild speculation that it was Mac?????
 
What is saying it was actually Rasmussen in WDM...after all Mike Ditka has visited Ames at least 10 times over the last five years :) I think Rasmussen was actually in Chi Town eating at Ditka's trying to get coerce him into being a basketball coach. To do so they would change the mascot from the Bluejays to the Hurricane Ditkas!!

Maybe they assume that Des Moines is so out of touch that they wouldn't know what's going on?
