I have read most of this thread, looks like ISU fans think that there is absolutely no way that they will lose this game. That's great, I hope your players feel the same way. I hear an awful lot about last year's result against SDSU, and several references to the equation: ISU thumped SDSU, SDSU beat NDSU, therefore ISU will thump NDSU. The only problem with that is that all experience with college football shows that it often does not go that way. Let's look at it another way, another team from our conference has done pretty well against you guys. I looked at the past scores and they have throttled your mighty program a few times, and many of the losses of these games, all played on your field, are very close. Why then is it so incredibly inconceivable that another team from that same conference might come in and, on a good day, come away with a win? Do I detect an ounce of trepidation beneath your bluster? Just a thought...
ISU players and fans are only concerned about 1 team: I O W A !
NDSU looks at ISU as a vulnerable team that will try to overachieve in the season opener.
thats my prediction.

What the hell team are you talking about? UNI? They beat us once. NDSU doesn't have the depth to compete with Iowa State. The NDSU defense will be dying by the third quarter, and NDSU has a few contributors who are suspended.
And trust me, the team feels no way like the fans. They're focused already, and ready to come out and prove they were better than they showed last season. It's kinda fun to be around them right now while they prepare. They're more prepared for NDSU than any team they'll see this season because they've been watching film on NDSU forever.
Maybe not every team in the conference, but they are vastly better than you. They're a D-1AA powerhouse who could hold their own against many other 1A schools and you're a mediocre team who's been in 1AA for two years. It's like comparing Oklahoma or Texas to Colorado. So, unless UNI is vastly better than every other team in its conference, I don't see how history supports the notion that the Bison have no chance.
9,313 Season Ticket Holder's for NDSU.
there was that many UNI fans?

I hope you are wrong about the ISU players. By the way, I looked at the record and I see 3 wins by UNI, as well as one-point and three-point wins by ISU. So, unless UNI is vastly better than every other team in its conference, I don't see how history supports the notion that the Bison have no chance.

Thats correct.Id bet so. They had their own allotment, and a decent number snagged seats in the donor sections (being close theyre going to know people who have season tix who cant make it)
I believe our record attendance was set at a UNI game.
