new report on my buddy's kid... he's a true freshman

Brandon Jemison

It appears that NDSU may have gotten a rising star with Brandon Jemison. It was easy to think of him as just an offensive threat at Fargo South because of his special teams highlights, but the Bison coaches saw something in him defensively. Now he's all but guaranteed to play at OLB as a true freshman, and even took a couple snaps with the starters last Saturday at the first scrimmage. He is exceptionally quick, and runs very well. He's not huge, but not tiny either. I watched him cover Mike Sigers out of the backfield, on some 7 on 7 work last week and Sigers, who is exceptionally quick (another good-get freshman by the way) made a cut to the sideline and Jemison broke almost as quick as Sigers did and was right there with him out of the cut. Jemison will need to add a few pounds obviously to stand up to the run-stop rigors of the position, and of course needs lots of time learning the defense. But this kid looks an awful lot like Ramon Humber, from my perspective. It appears that Bohl and company have hit a home run with Jemison.

Humber had 4 tackles for Indianapolis Colts last friday. btw.

Stopped by practice.

WOO HOO. BEAT ISU is the chant.

defense is just intense, our LB's coach is from nebraska and dude is tough and loud!

our QB is solidifying his spot and all our of 3 JUCO WR's are on the field, looking fast and long.

O Line is still stong. I have no fear in them or our defense.

NDSU beats ISU if the QB, RB & WR play extremely well.

Add everyone else and you still won't. The ego stroking your doing here is starting to get annoying.

What I find kind of comical is that there's a Fargo South...

I fully expect on Friday that all of the Bison fans on here show up to take their verbal lashings after their team gets thoroughly stomped by the Cyclones. Remember... these folks have Bison Pride and they certainly won't avoid coming back and facing the music after they catch an epic beatdown.

Well, if they don't come back, we know which hole they'll be hiding under...

This is not impressive because they were facing each other, so maybe thats why they looked like they were playing well

Id say approaching 50-50, say 60-40 right now after todays practice reports.

Really, really hilarious. You know our team is sitting around eating bon bons and watching soap operas while yours toils in the sun. We are going to be well rested for this game while you are going to be dog tired.

By the way. I saw nothing in that practice report to worry me. In fact, it was encouraging, because your defense is struggling. By every indication, our defense, which is admittedly the worst part of our team, has made leaping strides in practice and is more than holding its own against an offense that returns 9 starters, averaged nearly 400 yards a game last year and is adding some weapons that we never had last year, like a legitimate deep threat and a bruising RB for short yardage. It looks to me like your odds are shrinking, not growing.

Heck this is way too fun, why would Bison fans want to leave. You guys are way too serious about yourselves. Do so many seasons at the bottom effect your ability to rationally discuss the game? So much anger here. Can't wait to have a few beers with the real fans in the tailgate lot. Lets party and let the coaches and players decide on the field. If you win, you win. If NDSU wins its an upset, very good for us and quite bad for you.

Let's see you say some of the things in the tailgate lot to some of the "real" fans that you've said here. You won't find such a warm reception on gameday either if that happens.

I have read most of this thread, looks like ISU fans think that there is absolutely no way that they will lose this game. That's great, I hope your players feel the same way. I hear an awful lot about last year's result against SDSU, and several references to the equation: ISU thumped SDSU, SDSU beat NDSU, therefore ISU will thump NDSU. The only problem with that is that all experience with college football shows that it often does not go that way. Let's look at it another way, another team from our conference has done pretty well against you guys. I looked at the past scores and they have throttled your mighty program a few times, and many of the losses of these games, all played on your field, are very close. Why then is it so incredibly inconceivable that another team from that same conference might come in and, on a good day, come away with a win? Do I detect an ounce of trepidation beneath your bluster? Just a thought...

What the hell team are you talking about? UNI? They beat us once. NDSU doesn't have the depth to compete with Iowa State. The NDSU defense will be dying by the third quarter, and NDSU has a few contributors who are suspended.

And trust me, the team feels no way like the fans. They're focused already, and ready to come out and prove they were better than they showed last season. It's kinda fun to be around them right now while they prepare. They're more prepared for NDSU than any team they'll see this season because they've been watching film on NDSU forever.
