The ones in the suits are dummy microphones designed to fool and distract the less discerning eyes and ears from what really happened, so that NASA could really lower the boom.

So--are we sure that they weren't Claymation? Those raisins did some crazy things...

For future reference, one of my friends from ISU works at the Jet Propulsion Lab, on projects for Mars missions. I suppose that forty years from now, someone could say that we didn't really have the computer technology to put a rover on Mars...

If anyone finds a youtube video of Gumby on the moon, then that could be troublesome. :wideeyed:

How about we just ask Neil or Buzz?

I have asked Buzz (2nd Man on the Moon, 1st to pee on the Moon). He taught some Aviation Classes at University of North Dakota when I owned the Bar. Buzz would come in once or twice a month, he says. "Yes we were on the Moon!"

I have another question. If Armstrong was the first on the moon, how were we able to video tape him? Did someone hold the camera or was it propped up somewhere inside the spacecraft?

I believe they had a camera they shot out the window of the Lem, and also had some sequence cameras on the Lem's legs. They also had chest camera's in their suits....

Really? I knew there was hope to have them by the 20th, but I didn't realize they would be released tomorrow.

in a related story, nasa claims the back up video tapes have been lost or recorded over. these tapes were of MUCH higher resolution/quality......

hmmmmm.........

Considering they're paying about a quarter-million to refurbish the tapes, they better be higher quality...

If Buzz and Neil all of a sudden say that they didn't land on the moon, what would be the outcome? uh oh.

If Buzz and Neil say they did land on the moon, what would be the outcome. Still national heros.

They are national heros, patriots, they won't tell anybody any different (if there is something different to tell) because they love their country too much, they are heros, and looked at this mission as a military enterprise (if it was faked, faked for the betterment of this country) and as military men, they will honor the military enterprise instead of "exposing the truth".

Van Allen Belts, anyone?

What about the Van Allen belts?

We don't ... that thing is just roving around the South Dakota Badlands.

As someone mentioned further up, there just isn't a good way to refute the laser reflectors that we still use today that are located on the Moon.

Also, for those that may think the initial Apollo landing was hoaxed, but we went there later, I would ask them to explain the 10000+ people that worked on the ground to get those guys to the moon. Assume it was a hoax for a minute...have all those people kept a secret for 40 years with no one slipping up, leaking info, or writing a book about it?

It logically and scientifically just doesn't hold water. The more you read and research, the more it becomes painfully obvious that the moon hoaxers are nuttier than a fruitcake.
