Momcilovic declares for NBA draft

Follow the plan, declare and get their feedback, I really doubt he is a 1st round selection, but it he is, he should go, if not return and work on what they tell you he needs to improve. We are reaching the point where he could make as much if not more money playing another year in college than he can make in the NBA as a 2nd round pick, around million a year.

For Iowa State, his departure marks a significant loss. Momcilovic’s scoring ability and shooting gravity played a major role in the Cyclones’ offensive identity, and replacing that kind of production won’t be easy heading into next season.
This is a misleading as hell comment. They make it seem like he’s out the door. That is not an accurate representation. Blum actually has the correct statement

You’d think after all the years that hundreds have guys have declared and gone through the process then returned to college people would get how this works by now.

Didn’t THT get almost a first round level deal in the 2nd round because he had the same agent as LeBron or something like that?

I think the big wild card would be if a really good team like Detroit that’s going to pick late in the first and is desperate for shooting might tell him they’d pick him at the end of the first if available. Not that they can guarantee anything but it might be enough of a positive for him to stay in the draft.

Yeah, 2nd round is a crapshoot unless you have a team that tells you that they definitely want you. There are a ton of guys who are talked about as 2nd round that never get drafted.
Yep. Only 60 spots. 30 in first round and 30 in second.

I wonder how many fringe players get told that they are one of those 30 second round spots... 50 players? 100 players that get told that?

Lucky for him in nba there is no defense so he should crush it.
We've been over this a hundred times on this board. You have 7-0 footers who play guard and an expanded 3 point line and the most offensively skilled basketball players in the world. Tell me a strategy that you think would work. Watch an NBA playoff game and tell me they aren't at least attempting to play defense.
