*** Official #10 IOWA STATE vs #1 Purdue Game(Day) Thread ***

I work with two Purdue Engineers and two more Engineers that are Purdue fans. There are 5 of us and I am the only non Purdue guy. Monday is going to be fun.

As for Michigan, I have a customer that is a Michigan graduate. He is not convinced Michigan is as good as they looked in Vegas.

I would hate to seed Arizona if they finish this insane non conf undefeated bashing countless ranked teams from other conferences then somehow finish 4th or 5th in Big 12. They almost have to be a 1 seed if the stuff the committee has always said about non conf is true.
I think we'll know alot more about them here in the next week against Auburn and Alabama. If they win both then their schedule is cake until @BYU in late January.

I feel like the top 5 in the Big 12, ISU, Arizona, Houston, BYU, Kansas, Tech will possibly be 1-4 seeds, then a huge mess of bubble teams like maybe Oklahoma St, Baylor, TCU in that 8-10 range.

I feel like we’ve known about Arizona more than anybody, it’s absurd they haven’t already been #1 and probably some anti Big 12 BS.

They beat Florida, UCLA and won on the road against UConn pretty much right away. If they somehow beat Alabama Auburn and still aren’t number one I guess resume is meaningless.

It won't matter who is #1. ISU will take them down!

Ehh, Arizona and Kansas are the two Big 12 teams you don’t ever have to worry about not getting their due recognition.

I don’t know, that halftime show today was nuts if you listened. They were saying “we” about every Big Ten team every time they talked about them. CBS…traditional home of the tournament, has basically become a bigger Big Ten Network.

Just watched replay. Buchanan was quite the find.
His feet and hips just look so quick when he’s hedging screen and recovering. And I know Cluff ain’t exactly Mutombo on defense but it was awesome to see Buchanan put his shoulder into him to get a good look a couple times

I'm back & forth between who has surprised me most on consistent basis among newcomers, Toure or Buchanan.

Toure being a freshman, you never know if hype will click, he's freaking GOOD.

Buchanan I figured being role player, and some stretches early in the season I wasn't sure. I'm impressed with his ability on offense. He & Jefferson as bigs combo is looking dangerous. They seem to have extremely good chemistry.

And we just did that with a subpar game from Jefferson.
I think their defense game planned around stopping Jefferson and everyone else around him just went off (and his presence and his passing led to that).

If I have one criticism of Purdue, it's that their 4th and 5th options on the floor at any given time were reluctant to shoot, and that allowed us to strangle their offense as a whole.
