I believe @Cycsk is having a tailgate down there

Yes, he is. In the church parking lot just north/northwest of the stadium across the highway. But they don't allow alcohol, FYI.

A few of us others plan to tailgate in the grass lots south of the baseball fields south of the stadium. Put your beer in solo cups or tumblers and you'll be fine (is what we've heard).

Been thinking about making the drive down for the game so I checked the map. Unfortunately, it's clear the heck down by Memphis. I've made that drive a few times for the Liberty Bowl. Not all that excited about making it again, but haven't decided for sure.

Yeah, but then you could go to the giant pyramid Bass Pro Shop.

There is nothing scary about this game.

I seem to recall a bunch of people scared of that Wetjen guy for Iowa and he sucks.

Why do we always need to make it seem like every opponent is some team to be scared of?

Scary isn’t the term I’d use

But every game is important, especially with the aspirations we have. That’s going to cause angst. This manifests the most when there’s no upside to winning and a lot of negatives if we were to lose.

The forecast is calling for 90 degrees in Jonesboro next Saturday and we have a 3pm kickoff. Our boys better start hydrating now. We're gonna play A LOT of bodies.
I think that's OK. Based on comments from Blum, CMC's general approach to making sure lots of guys are ready and get a chance, and that many 3s and 4s played meaningful minutes vs SD... I think they will be able to use that depth to advantage.

I was tempted to go to this game because its roughly the same drive time for me as it is to Jack Trice. But with an expected kickoff temp of 96°, I'm out.
The forecast is quite different than a week ago. Still plan on going.

I know it's early in the season, but Arkansas State has the 130th rated total defense in FBS (out of 134). They give up 7.83 yards per play and 497 yards per game. I really see Iowa State running away with this game.

This game has the feel of being completely opposite than Iowa. Expect more than 3 possessions in a half ;)

Iowa State is also off the following week, so it would be great to have starters only play 2-3 quarters and get a nice full rest before the conference slate starts
