***@ Arkansas State Pregame Thread***

There is nothing scary about this game.

I seem to recall a bunch of people scared of that Wetjen guy for Iowa and he sucks.

Why do we always need to make it seem like every opponent is some team to be scared of?
That punt return for -7 yards didn't scare you? I was just yelling, run into him, its legal.

The forecast is calling for 90 degrees in Jonesboro next Saturday and we have a 3pm kickoff. Our boys better start hydrating now. We're gonna play A LOT of bodies.

We went to the game in Little Rock vs Arkansas, Arkansas State was no match for an average SEC team and I personally don't expect much different this coming weekend

Tickets are easy to get and cheap for a Power 5 football game, I bought 8 for our family of Cyclone Fans who have been in Arkansas for 15 years and one die hard Arkansas State alum, who played volleyball for the Red Wolves, Jonesboro is about a 9 hour drive, hope to see many fellow Cyclones in the crowd

Time to get the receivers going, especially Sowell. He looked solid yesterday., but would like to see something down the field.

I was tempted to go to this game because its roughly the same drive time for me as it is to Jack Trice. But with an expected kickoff temp of 96°, I'm out.

I don’t think that matters.
This game has been pegged as a classic trap game for ISU after an instate rivalry. You don’t think ASU spent some emotional energy as well this weekend?

Anyone who calls this a “trap game” is just looking for an excuse to worry, stretching reality.

No, it isn’t remotely a trap game. How Arkansas State feels is absolutely, completely, totally irrelevant.

Two rules currently in effect:

1- you must love and cheer for every Big 12 team when not playing them

2- be concerned. Be very concerned. At all times.

I'll be concerned if a player (or several!!) starts doing hard drugs in the open before plays but otherwise every team has trends or weaknesses and the hope is they get better as the season goes on.
