This is a game we should win big and will win big.

Ark St gave up 630 yards to an Arkansas team that will finish among the bottom of the SEC. I look for Rocco to accrue some more chemistry with all the WR's. Give the TE's a break. I think hell throw for 300 plus yards, and a few TD's, and not even play the 4th quarter.

4-0 for this team going into the first bye will be freaking fantastic. CW said it on the pod that ISU has only been 4-0 twice in 25 years i think it was, and well do that in back to back years. Absolutely insane

There is nothing scary about this game.

I seem to recall a bunch of people scared of that Wetjen guy for Iowa and he sucks.

Why do we always need to make it seem like every opponent is some team to be scared of?

I'm not scared of Arkansas State, but I do respect them. You'd be a fool not to.

I'm sure West Virginia wasn't scared of Ohio a few days ago. I don't know, but I get the feeling they didn't respect Ohio very much, either. That didn't work out too well for them.

All that said, I think Campbell is one of the best coaches in the country when it comes to making sure his players respect every opponent, so I'm feeling like our guys will give a great effort in Jonesboro.

Emotional investment in something one has no control over causes angst.

I don’t think we’ll lose, but I don’t fault those that remember good Cyclone teams losing to opponents they are better than. Uncertainty in outcomes is the biggest reason we follow sports

Ohio’s up there as one of the top teams in G5 and have been up at the top for the past few years. Three straight seasons of 10+ wins including 11 last year.

Lost by 3 @ Rutgers in week 1 and probably could’ve won. Only point I’m making is that Ohio & Arkansas State are different opponents but you better believe damn well Matt is in his team and staff’s ear using the 2023 Ohio game as ammunition.

He even brought up that game in the CyHawk post game press conference. I’d be absolutely shocked if we don’t cover because I think Matt wants to blow this team out bad. He’s also not that happy with only beating Iowa by three and said we didn’t play well.

I can only assume that people who keep bringing up our loss to Ohio 2 years ago have never had norovirus. It is by far the worst illness I have had in my 70 years. I can't imagine how anyone played football.

Pretty sure he had the locker room convinced South Dakota was the '85 Bears. He's been talking up the first quarter of our schedule as the toughest in the nation, so I'm sure the theme will continue with Arkansas State.
