I visited your toxic boss thread, and just wanted to commiserate with you a little bit. I have always appreciated your measured posts. I too have a boss that is toxic - it's way too long to go into here (if you trust me enough to give me your email, I can give you the entire story, if you're interested), but suffice to say he lies and demeans everyone he meets. Just a horrible, narcissistic person. I feel your pain.

I wish I was as sanguine as you are in the Cave. People like deadeyededric, hoping we will die, just make me sad. Somehow our generation has become the scratching post for the rest of America (at least those younger), and I'm not sure why. Guess I need to just stay off threads like these.

You just have to be able to laugh at yourself...and them. Our generation HAS screwed up a lot of things, but we've done some pretty good things too - like developing the technology necessary to use smartphones, satellite transmission, and the internet. Just take what's said with a grain of salt. You'll live longer.

That's one thing I have tried to do as I've gotten older.....I don't let things bother me like I used to, and I've also found that people respond to kindness, too. Hopefully it's a pay-it-forward thing. I will say I saw a different side of you in the mailbag thread! Funny and ribald as hell!
