2026 Garden Thread

Keeping seeds alive through that first long stretch is half the battle, so tweaking your method after a few tries is the right move. I’ve been doing something similar while juggling my own orchard projects, and working with indoor plants has actually helped me fine-tune my watering habits and timing. That patience transfers pretty well to fruit trees, especially the fussier ones like peaches.

RTT...20-20 hindsight.

It was probably rated in 1955.
Not really. Movie ratings as we know them began in the late 60s. That's when my father figured out the G & PG ratings and I was doomed to G rated movies until I was old enough that my friends and I could drive ourselves to movies. :D

Basically, I suspect someone at Prime is rating old movies to make them compatible with modern movies. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

Google says this about the movie's ratings:
  • MPAA Rating: Not Rated (NR) by the MPAA (though historically approved in 1955) Common Sense Media
  • Common Sense Media: Recommended for ages 13+ (due to adult themes and historical context) Common Sense Media [1, 2, 3]

Xzavion Mitchell is officially returning

I would also say a much better shot creator, potential big time explosive scorer - Averaged 35 and 9 as a senior. Really depends what kind of weight he puts on and how his ball handling develops.

What kind of weight he puts on? Hopefully he doesn't put on any. In his very limited time last year he looked slow. Hopefully his off season workout was to improve his quickness and tone up.

Xzavion Mitchell is officially returning

I'm having a hard time picturing Mitchell getting significant minutes with all the depth we have. If he gets 10+ minutes per game then either one of the transfers isn't as good as we hoped, or Mitchell worked really hard and made big improvements in his game. Either way we are gonna have a damn good team.
I think the improvement needed to come on the defensive end. Anyone who averages 21 ppg for all four years of high school and 35 ppg as a senior doesn't need much improvement on offense. He was the third best scorer all time in Wisconsin high school history.

Milan Momcilovic tweets "entering NBA draft and portal"

I'm sure this has been covered but I'm too lazy to find it. Why are people talking about a 2 year deal? What cause would he have for a 5th year? I can't keep up with the eligibility rules-- does he get an automatic 5th year now?
Milan has said he has no interest in playing 2 more, but that doesn't stop the pundits from blabbering on about it.

Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

I agree but the leagues themselves can come up with bylaws that would stop such measures and even if the state would say it does not apply to their university, the conference could also just say that their university is not eligible for the playoff under their rules.
Maybe, but so-called loyalty contracts between schools in the conferences so far haven’t been signed. Tennessee and the SEC are headed for a train wreck over the legislatures law that says certain SEC, NCAA rules are prohibited to be enforced in the Volunteer state. We live in interesting times.
