Big 12 predictions

Can’t wait for post season wrestling. Getting some discussions going with my Big 12 predictions.

125 - Stevo second to Spratley. I’m not sure if Strickenburger will still get the 3 or not after his losses the other weekend. Either way, I like the way Stevo is wrestling and think he makes the finals. He can definitely beat Spratley, but still picking Spratley at this time.

133 - Evan 4th. Jax is winning Big 12s and leaving no doubt. Will be interesting to see, but I just can’t shake Evan limping into Big 12s last year and not having wrestled in a month.

141 - Ech 1st. I’m going to die on this hill this year probably, but I think Vega is the most overrated OSU fresh. He’s obviously very good, but I’ll be very surprised if he makes an NCAA final. Ech finishes a takedown this time and wins the match.

149 - Frost 1st. F it, I know he hasn’t looked great as of late but I just can’t pick him to lose to Swiderski.

157 - Zerban 3rd. This weight is loaded with Waters, Larkin, Robideau and Vinny. Vinny looks good right now, but someone trips him up.

165 - Euton 5th. Solid qualifier, but just not beating other guys ranked in top 12 or so.

174 - MJ 3rd. Really don’t know about this one. He could go 1st to 6th. I like how he’s wrestling, but not sure I can see him stringing enough together to win.

184 - 4th. this weight is going to be a lot of close low scoring matches. Just don’t see the offense from Dean

197 - 1st. Another really tough weight. Really hope to see Elam get another shot at Merrill to widen that gap. I expect Elam to win controlled matches that are closer in score.

285 - 1st. Yonger next topic

26/27 fb season ticket renewal Question

Does anyone have insight into the fb season ticket renewal process?

we've got four tickets, friends of ours have two, they'd like to move and take over two of ours and we're willing to step down to only having two tickets.

Our renewal times are close, like 5 or 6 hrs apart. thoughts, suggestions, or ideas on how this happens? the ticket office and phone menu are less than useful - at least what I have found

Winning the Big 12 regular season

I see a lot of lamenting/meltdowns over last night’s loss (which is to be expected here). The most common meltdown I’ve noticed is we lost our chance at Big 12 regular season championship.

For the record, I’m not too concerned with last night’s loss. It was our second-hardest game left and we went 2-1 in the brutal 3-game swing, which I’m generally happy with.

But, I’m curious what the age of Fanatics who are really disappointed about the B12 title? I’m in my 30’s and not winning the B12 title is honestly the least of my concerns. Especially in the era of unbalanced schedules. I’m more worried about seeding in the NCAA tourney. I’ve always thought a season is ultimately judged on how you do in the national tourney. But I’m wondering if in the 80’s, 90’s it meant more and the NCAA tourney was a little more deemphasized

I view the conference title more like winning your division in the NFL. A nice feather in your cap, but way down on a team’s list of goals.

Not again…. EV thread

Mods,

For the love of God, why make the rest of us suffer over one poster? Please just remove their posts AGAIN, or at least make it clear if they do it again, they’re gone.

Seriously that thread has been great, except for one poster, for years. it’s been great to hear about new battery tech, people buying newer EVs, or asking questions. It’s just @motorcy90 purposefully trying to get it closed multiple times.

Scoring Droughts

Under TJ it is not secret there have been multiple 4 minute plus FG droughts or outright scoring droughts. It has plagued this program. The early years you can probably give a pass for it happening as there may not have been the offensive firepower. The good news is it doesn't happen as frequently now. But with this team, it should never happen in my opinion. Tonight we had a freaking 6 minute scoring drought and another one for 3 minutes. 8 minutes of basketball and no points. How do we get out those, or prevent them. I guess one obvious thing is call a time out. I noticed when BYU went into a rut, they called a time out and ran a successful play out of it. Why can't we do the same? Thoughts?
