The NCAA Selection Committee debuted its Top-16 seeds for the first time this season on Saturday morning, and the Iowa State Cyclones were slotted in as the fourth overall seed and last No. 1 seed in the South Region.

I posted this in another thread, but I wanted to get the Jackson Pence perspective.

So, if today's rankings were final, how do they determine where you go for the 1st/2nd rounds? Is it pure geography?

If so, then it works out rather neatly:
  • Michigan would go to Buffalo or Philadephia.
  • Duke would go to Greenville or Tampa.
  • Arizona would go to San Diego or Portland.
  • Iowa State would go to St. Louis or OKC.

Michigan would go to Philly if they were 1st overall seed I believe that was reported this week even though Buffalo is closer.

The rest would go by miles from campus. Heres a fun site that has the miles from each location for each school. https://bauertology.com/tournament-site-distances/

As a 1 seed, ISU would go to STL. We are in a battle currently with Illinois (7) and Purdue (8) for St. Louis, 2 team will go there and one will have to go somewhere else like OKC in terms of our next closest.
