Question on Jack Trice Bleachers pre Sukup

Hello! I am trying to get the year the large aluminum bleachers were installed in the south endzone. By that I am talking about the version of bleachers just before Sukup Endzone was done.
I've found some history of JTS saying in 2002 permanent lighting and a large video board were added and I am thinking those nicer, higher capacity, aluminum bleachers were added about that time.
I am asking as my 101 year old mom and my father who is no longer living purchased their first season tickets that year. My mom purchased season tickets again for this year and was asking if I knew the year they started purchasing season tickets.

OT Owen Winder Commits!

Apparently canceled BYU visit. Visited last weekend with Eglitis. Gives us a nice duo for the class!

Williams and Blum Podcast

I may have to go back and re-listen, but I could have sworn that Blum made a comment that in most schools Olympic sport athlete won't be getting paid via the school and the new house ruling, but he said "at Iowa State they'll pay MBB, WBB, football, and in Iowa State's case, wrestling". I think it was around the 20 minute mark on Sundays podcast.

Is this true? Will the wrestling team be getting a small piece of that pie?

2025-26 ISU WBB Season Thread

Was pointed out to me that it's time to start the thread for the upcoming season. Most of the new kids on the block have arrived on campus and we might have some other season related news breaking. So here's the spot this summer for reports/comments on things Hare's recovery, new players, speculation on the season and maybe news on special tournaments etc.

Kickin’ It: Best trash talkers, worst road trips, and more mailbag questions

Grant Mahoney and Jeff Woody opened it up to answer all of your questions about the biggest trash talkers they played with and against, their worst memories from away games, and their views on recruiting as a player. Talking NCAA settlements and more, courtesy of Kelderman Manufacturing.

WBB: Women's AmeriCup Team Trials

Congrats to Crooks and Brown for being invited to the AmeriCup trials. By my count, ISU is one of 4 schools with two players invited (Oklahoma, Vandy, Notre Dame).

Kickin It - fielding questions for a mailbag episode (6/10)

For this weeks episode (released 6/10) we’d like to do a mailbag episode. We know Williams and Blum have recently done this as well, but there’s honestly not a lot going on that hasn’t already been talked about, and a lot of the people we’ve tried to come on our show are on vacation. So we want to hear from the listeners and field as many questions as we can! We record at 5:00 on Mondays so get the questions in before then!

Williams & Blum: Should the Big 12 consider the 4-4-2-2 model?

Chris Williams & Brent Blum dumb down the much talked about house settlement for the common fan. Plus, should the Big 12 consider taking two auto bids? All this and more presented by Mechdyne.

RECRUITING: Iowa State lands commitment from OL Pete Eglitis

RECRUITING: Iowa State picked up its 13th commitment of the 2026 recruiting class today in 6-foot-7, 285-pound OL Pete Eglitis.

OT Pete Eglitis Commits

Big commit, literally! Someone got maple syrup? This guy loves pancakes!

Not sure if he’ll end up on the right or left side, but that’s what S&C is for, right?

Excellent get!
