I like all the Toy Story movies. Some are fantastic. Others are just good. I personally think it should have ended after 3, but it's a cash cow.

Pleasantly surprised how much I liked Toy Story 5. Really interesting take on tech and kids today.

Did anyone hear Jamie Pollard on last night's Coaches Corner radio show? I missed some details as was doing something else but thought I heard the university had secured a large donation that might speed the development of the area over what was originally projected. I did hear Pollard and others had met with hotel chains to discuss possibilities of new construction in the north part of the area.

Has anyone every worked with them or a similar company? My dad has terrible knee pain and the cortisone shots aren't lasting very long anymore.

Pertinent info he is older, on blood thinners and has had heart issues in the past. When he bleeds it doesn't want to stop not so sure that is good for getting poked in the veins.

@FriendlySpartan tagging you in on this one. I would like to help my Dad but don't want to put him at unnecessary risk. I'm afraid they will say sure it's safe just to collect a check. I realize these type of treatments are not covered under insurance.

I enjoy working on DIY home improvement projects around our house and I'd be interested to see or hear what types of DIY home improvement projects that my fellow Cyclonefanatics have done or are planning to do. I'm hoping this could give me ideas for my own house.

I'll go ahead and share a small project that I just completed.

We live in a split foyer and the entryway isn't very big. I got tired of everyone's shoes always cluttering up this entryway and getting in the way of the front door, so I ordered a metal shoe cabinet and I built it into the wall. It still needs a little touch up paint on the trim, but it's essentially done. The cabinet is only 4 inches thick so it barely sticks out of the wall, and it holds a total of six pairs of shoes. Now my cluttered entryway problem is solved!

I'd love to see projects others have done.

I'm On has been laying fiber all thru our CR neighborhood this summer. They finally got to us. But they put it all on our property, not in the utility easements.

We have a really odd lot, and one edge of it runs along the back of 5 other houses. There is a fence which runs along it, which I understand is mine and is basically right on (or near) the property line. Pervious owner was a jerk and pushed the fence as far as he could. The utility easements are clearly shown on the assessor map as being in the back yards of the 5 houses, NOT on my side of the line.

I came home last night from work, and they had the big ole truck with the trailer full of orange underground tubing in my driveway. And they had already drilled the route all the way along the line, on my side. Had hand dug a bunch of the holes for the boxes to connect to the houses as well. Fait accompli. Also had a big ditch witch running over where the sewer line is.

I talked to the supervisor (E&D Underground, subcontractor) and he was mostly trying to reassure me they wouldn't damage anything. Which wasn't my concern, but he was also kind of stuck and not much he could do about it. His job is just to calm down homeowners I am sure.

My question for the group is - do I have any rights here? Can I call I'm On and demand some compensation? I'm more mad about the principal of it, and I would take cash in lieu of making them re-dig it in the actual easements. IKIK, call an atty, but thought I would ask here quick since some people know things.

One month in and been a pretty good run so far for the general stock market.

With the increase in Nitrates my wife and I are considering getting an undersink RO system for drinking water. Does anyone have experience with these? I was looking at an ISpring one. They offer one that has an alkiline remineralization filter. Does this affect the taste of the water?

Thought I'd start a thread for things not ISU team so our general Cyclone season thread doesn't get sidetracked. I know there are a couple of fans that watch outside of our team.

Looking at future opponents.

The Jennie B. Sooners are 6-1 and beat #9 Oregon and Minnesota in a neutral court setting to win a tourney in the Bahamas. Play Mississippi State in the Big 12/SEC thingies on Saturday. Miss State is not ranked. Was just a few years back they were 37-2 and in the champ game against ND. Vic Schaefer leaving and his replacement resigning after just a year seems to have left them as a middling SEC team.

Iowa, after missing three games against quality opponents due to their COVID hiatus, got thumped at Duke last night. They didn't win a single quarter. Clark, a career 41% from three, was 1-13. They play Michigan State at IC on Sunday before coming to Ames. Haven't seen them play but so far they don't seem to be playing even close to their level of last year.

My wife and I are going on a Viking cruise from Switzerland to Amsterdam this September. Just wondering if anyone else has done one and what to expect.

Starting up 2028, as I just realized we have a big name on the list already.
