The original pic is Ashley Langford, who became Stony Brook's head coach in 2021 after McCombs left for GW.

Idk, we don't know the circumstances of why she is leaving Auburn. Seems like weird timing to leave given she came there last year during the first year of a new hc. Doesn't seem like you usually see a ton of coaching turnover after just one year somewhere. Could have not worked out well there and just be taking an available gig even if it has a short lifespan.

Seems like she would need a) an above expectations season this year and b) underclassmen saying they want her to stay. Otherwise her resume isn’t probably strong enough absent those 2 things.

Does McCombs have a previous connection to Bill? Or are you just saying his tree after she's been here a year?

I am assuming there is some type of prior connection between Bill and McCombs otherwise he doesn't hire her.

And yes, I would consider her part of Bill's tree after one season with him.

Unless Billy is getting into the Satellite TV business with Wayne Morgan, I’m not sure who’d hire him- unless it was a D2 or mid major program. The Schaben stuff has been out there for awhile now- I’d still be shocked if Billy wasn’t around next year
