Can’t say I had a lot from Rogue, Dead Guy Ale and Batsquatch were decent.

I was just coming to post this. This has me bummed as I’m a huge Dead Guy fan. We’ve also been to Newport a few times and would hit them up.

It’s sad seeing some of the longtime brewers go down. Maybe another brewer will pick up their recipes and continue making some of their beer.

Saw this earlier as well, sad news. Haven't had a rogue beer in forever (dead guy and the hazelnut beer really weren't doing much for me anymore) but loved visiting their brewery in Newport a few different times over the years. Was hoping to get back soon.

This sucks, my dad, brother in law and I are going to be in Newport this coming week for a trip and was excited to hit up Rogue!!

Looks like Newport Brewing Company also closed this week, leaving just Bier One left in Newport.

From this article, looks like tough times in Newport in general:

The port also has more than 40 other renters who are also behind more than six months in rent, although Rogue owes the most by far, according to the Port’s monthly financial reports.

Went and got two sixers of Dead Guy today. I hope there is a story of them restarting operations soon…

It sounds like Pivo Brewing is for sale. It's too bad, they have a nice building and make decent beer. Being in BFE probably doesn't help.

Rumor is the owner has a sweetheart deal to get back into his old line of work. Way less stress and a lot of money. It was started by a married couple, and they got divorced a few years back but kept the business intact. A lot of folks had assumed this was heading that direction at that point.

I really enjoy Pivo, and live in the area, so I hope someone steps in (which doesn't seem likely in this climate). They always seem busy, and I enjoy their change of pace to TG/Pulpit stylistically.

Pivo is my absolute favorite. I hope they find a way through this but I'm not terribly optimistic.

This world is going to be a darker place without that Cucumber Ale.

515 Brewing (Clive, IA), this weekend is their final days, before they close up shop.

Their Mexican Spring Wheat is still in my Top10 Beers......
My dad and I used to stop at 515 on bike rides in the early days, 2014-2016. OJ IPA became one of my all time favorite beers and lots of good memories inside their taproom

Having been to Des Moines a few times, I honestly stayed away from 515 just due to the fact that their beers never appealed to me. When it comes to craft brews, I keep it fairly light and they never had much to offer for me when I would check their beer menu from time to time when I was up there.
