Former UNLV and current Iowa State head coach T.J. Otzelberger instructs the team in the first half of a college basketball game against the Cincinnati Bearcats, Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, at Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati.
Iowa State men’s basketball has identified another priority target for its 2023 recruiting class.
TJ Otzelberger extended a scholarship offer to Chicago power forward Davius Loury during a phone call Sunday evening, a source told Cyclone Fanatic. Loury, a 6-foot-7, 205-pound forward out of Kenwood Academy, played on the EYBL for Mac Irvin Fire over the summer.
Iowa State is the fifth major conference program to offer Loury with DePaul, Illinois, Nebraska and LSU being the others. He also has offers from Western Illinois and Miami (OH).
The Cyclones currently do not have any commitments for the 2023 recruiting cycle with well over a year left before prospects are set to sign in that class.
