T.J. Tampa drafted by Baltimore in fourth round

Former Iowa State defensive back T.J. Tampa was drafted in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft Saturday with the Baltimore Ravens selecting him with the 130th pick.

During his time in Ames, Tampa became one of the best defensive backs in the country, becoming a semifinalist for both the Thorpe and Bednarik Awards.

Tampa recorded 106 total tackles in his collegiate career, including 9.5 tackles for losses along with 22 pass breakups and three interceptions.

The St. Petersburg, Florida native earned First Team All-Big 12 honors in 2023 and was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team a season before.

Tampa becomes the 11th player of the Campbell era to be drafted to the league.
