Iowa State wide receiver Jason Essex announced over social media Tuesday that he would be the latest Cyclone to enter the transfer portal.

Essex saw limited action on the field in Ames and never officially recorded a receiving stat for the Cyclones according to ESPN.com. He also did not record a stat in the spring game on Saturday.
The Kansas City native was Iowa State’s 20th highest rated prospect in the modern era in the 247 Sports ratings.
