According to Jamie Pollard, Iowa State football is close to making history before the 2017 season has begun.
On Friday, the leader of the Cyclone Nation tweeted that if the student section sells out, Iowa State will sell over 40,000 season tickets and “maybe a new record.”
We sold another 800 student FB tix this week. If student section sells out, we will have over 40,000 season tixs and maybe a new record.

That’s impressive and worth noting that it is all coming off of a 3-9 record a year ago. Iowa State has only won 11 games over the last four years and the fans continue to show up. It’s pretty awesome.
Jack Trice Stadium has a listed capacity at 61,500.
