About Cyclone Fanatic

October will mark the five-year anniversary in which the current ownership group acquired Cyclone Fanatic. At that time, the company was a vibrant message board. Since then, it has transformed into a legitimate multimedia company that features two radio shows a week as well as loads of online content. The Cyclone Fanatic Podcast was No. 1 on the i’Tunes college sports chart during a good chunk of the 2013-14 basketball season.

Over the last calendar year, has amassed over 50 million pageviews while tens of thousands of people view the website regularly every day.

A note from the publisher

Our company wasn’t looking to add just anybody to our team. Rob Gray is a true professional and in many ways, the perfect fit. On a personal note, Rob is without question one of the best people I have met during my first decade working in what is often times a cutthroat industry.

You Fanatics are the winners here.

Throughout the 2014 Iowa State football and basketball seasons, expect more content on CF. Our commitment to comprehensively covering Iowa State athletics has never been stronger. We want to be the best. Expect more reporting, more analysis and more podcasts. Expect more of everything.

Rob’s experience and expertise in the field will make our product much, much better.

Of course, our content will remain 100 percent free to you, the Cyclone Fanatic.

Rob has written an introductory column in which he will introduce himself to you all. That will be posted here on our front page at 10:30 this morning.
