The Des Moines Register is reporting that on Friday, Iowa State picked up another in-state football commitment. This prospect is Darian Cotton, a 6-foot, 165-pound defensive back out of Mount Pleasant.

Darian’s brother, Jordan, is currently a wide receiver at the University of Iowa.

Cotton put up some impressive numbers last year as a junior for Mount Pleasant. On offense, Cotton led his team in rushing with 643 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, he led his team in tackles with 40, while snagging two interceptions and returning one for a touchdown.
