Why is everyone so down on Thursdays Game?

You have to admit this is exactly how ISU football fans act. Several of my good friends are big ISU basketball fans, but barely pay attention to football unless ISU wins, then I hear about it all week.

Yeah, no. We had JTS at least 90% capacity in almost every game the last three seasons, despite being awful. Just because we don't talk **** before the games (because we don't expect to win every game) doesn't mean we're not there to support our team.

In football, turnovers are the wildcard that can allow an underdog to win. In this game, I think Iowa needs ISU foul trouble for a shot.

Maybe to an extent but a healthy majority of our football fans still show up to the games even when we aren't winning unlike a certain school to the east during basketball season.....

You could also state, unlike a certain school to the east during football season, except their last game and B1G Championship. Remember, they were "protesting Ferentz" most of the year to their excuse to not go to games.

You're screwed dude. Half the people there are going to be talking about the score every other minute. Maybe isolate yourself up in the top corner?
I live in Minnesota. My goal is possible. If Woodbury pokes somebody's eye out I may hear about it.

Man, reading this board, listening to sports radio, podcasts, friends, co workers, etc. nobody is excited for this game it seems?

Tickets are going unsold on here and stubhub.

We have a chance to pummel our in state rival at home. Is everyone preparing the nut cups? Is it because of no Fred? Is it our friends to the east doing so well in Football? A hangover from our football season?

Just seems so strange for the number 4 team in the nation.

Iowa State fans are excited about it but slightly nervous. Iowa is a good team, but we played like the best team in universe against them last year. It will be very hard to top that performance, even at Hilton. I think the talent gap has widened in our favor since last year, but it is almost impossible to top last year. It's likely going to be a close game, and losing would be devastating.

On the flip-side, the Hawk fans are in denial that basketball exists. Ever since the Augustana pre-season loss, all Hawk fans I know are either 100% football, or they're trying to act like wrestling is more important than basketball. They will firmly hold that position if they lose. If they somehow win, they will turn into basketball fanatics that also have anuses for mouths.

I hope we destroy them just like last year, and I look forward to all of their Rose Bowl related posts after the game.

Disgustingly appropriate. Anuses with diarrhea.

I don't think we played that great against them last year, other than the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half.

I more nervous cuz they are a good team, we have been spurty and inconsistent at times, and our guys have talked a lot of ****. They have every reason to want to make Georges eat his words.

I am not worried. We have a solid team and will do well. I do think we can handle Uthoff and Jok and Gessell..
