Man, reading this board, listening to sports radio, podcasts, friends, co workers, etc. nobody is excited for this game it seems?

Tickets are going unsold on here and stubhub.

We have a chance to pummel our in state rival at home. Is everyone preparing the nut cups? Is it because of no Fred? Is it our friends to the east doing so well in Football? A hangover from our football season?

Just seems so strange for the number 4 team in the nation.

I guess that's not the sense I'm getting. I'm more pumped for this year's edition than most seasons actually. There is more of a reason now than ever to want to shut up hawk fans and to get the media talking about ISU again.

I guess maybe I'm hanging around the wrong people. I'm looking at the front page and not a lot of chatter. BTW the IT'S HAPPENING gif gets me to LOL every time.

If there's lack of excitement (not sure I sense that), it may be the complete lack of interest right now from Hawk fans. Between pessimism over the basketball team and complete preoccupation with football, I'm not even sure they know we're playing.

Maybe I'm comparing it to the last time we played at home too, having Iowa come in ranked with high expectations really got everyone buzzing.

Eh, not so just my tickets. I see it from others people post too. I'm not to worried about that I'll gladly be in Hilton to cheer on, just didn't realize when I got them it was a Thursday, still thought it was a Friday game, much easier to swing. I do wish it was still on a Friday, great way to start the weekend off.

I think the Hawkeye football team has taken away some of the buzz from the Iowa side, but most ISU fans seem to be pretty pumped up for this game. I do kind of miss the late Friday night slot, brings back some fun memories of past games, but I can't blame them for switching to Thursday to give it more national exposure on ESPN2.

I know we don't need bobble heads to bring people in, but how sweet would it be for everyone to get a Niang blowing a kiss bobble head on the way out the door if/when we win on Thursday?
