While I don't disagree..as this game is always competitive no matter who is the better team...but I'm actually feeling opposite as we just had a game Monday and honestly didn't look or play that well...didn't shoot well..and just looked out of sync. 99% of time when that happens the next game is totally different. I'm actually glad we played icky on Monday yet still won by 21.
Iowa crushed Western Illinois by about same amount that Cregihton did. Oh btw...3-4 of Western Illinois other wins ca,e vs Non Div 1 schools...yes they beat Wisc but game 1...Didn't Iowa lost to Augustana too?
I've had more than one Iowa fan plead that we don't take them to the woodshed too badly. I tell them it's not me they have to worry about, the 5 on the court are the ones they need to tweet to.

The only game in the series with McCaffery that ISU has ever lost is the game I went to.:twitcy:
Last year was the first Fran vs. ISU game that I wasn't at... I missed the best one! Although 2013 in Hilton was a pretty great finish.
Georges was a freshman just finding his role and Lucious/Clyburn were garbage.

Lucious was 3/13 from the floor and Clyburn was 0/5. The 18 turnovers didn't help, either.

There's less chatter than normal because 1) Iowa isn't that good this year; 2) they had a historic football season just end that they're using as justification to act like they won't care what happens tomorrow (unless god forbid they win); 3) it's not on a Friday. I think typically, a lot of people plan a night out around the game and that's not happening nearly as much with a work day following it.
If by everyone the OP means Hawk fans then he is absolutely correct. The hawk fans that I talk sports with around the office seem to have zero interest in discussing this game. I think they don't really feel they have much of a chance, plus football is still all they want to talk about. Meanwhile all the Cyclones want to talk about is basketball. When half of the rivalry seems totally disengaged it definitely takes the edge off the game. There is no question in my mind Hilton will be packed and rocking come game time, though.
There is no such thing as an unsold ticket here or stubhub. For those tickets to exist means they were already sold once. If some people are trying to capitalize on high ticket prices and can't sell them...no big deal. Maybe they are asking too much for those who don't already have to tickets to buy. Who knows. Fact is though, it is "sold out" and has been for a very long time.
