Where are these posts? Maybe I have these posters blocked. Are fans really stating that their opinion is that the season is OVER!?
In the game thread, we typically see things like “[The OC] is in over is head.” Or something like that. Is this doom and gloom? Is this calling for firings? Is this a ‘stupid’ fan thing to post in the heat of the moment during a game thread!? Just trying to gauge where the ‘line’ is for unacceptable levels of frustration.
So weird to see this level of projection and assumption, directed towards what is likely a life long diehard fan. I honestly can’t wrap my head around how you could take that statement from the poster and spin it SO far and SO negatively that they should consider not being a fan anymore. Like, as I type that out - that is such a bizarre and extreme take.
We lost because we went away from the run. Sama showed me he has matured enough to be RB#1 again. If we had run 4 times from the 1, even after the offsides, we almost definitely would have scored. The passes were just a wasted effort, we had finally worn them down at that point but didn't take advantage. I get really sick of the throw it every play crowd. I guess you enjoyed the interception on the first down throw. Oh, I didn't notice its joefrog. Should have known you'd pop back up this week. Your hawks won you know, you should be on your board celebrating.
Was that a draw or a broken play. Haven't rewatched at home, so may be misremembering.
It’s was no surprise looking at your post history you have only 7 posts during football season and it’s when we were down 14 to UCF and today.
Find another team to root for.
You probably love saying the phrase "pump the brakes". Just because this sight has fanatic in the name doesn't mean it has to be literal. Hopefully only someone under 20 still believes sports are worth being fanatical about. A fun diversion is all they are at best. Yesterday was no fun, although there was a lot about the day I did enjoy, such as Jack Trice truly getting loud for a few plays and actually effecting the opposing team. A month ago, I thought Tech would be our toughest game left, then they had a few bad brakes lost a few and everyone thought they would roll over. My hope is not getting away with playing with fire this time will motivate the team for this last part of the season.
Neither. It was a designed QB sweep run. Even Rocco was ticked with the play call.

Exactly. Fans that went to the school, graduated from the school. Folks that have some of the single best memories of their entire lives with family and friends at Cyclone events/games/etc. My Mom lives for the 6-7 weekends a year where she can get the family Cyclone bus ready and prepare delicious food and drink and entertainment for dozens of 3 (sometimes 4) generations of diehard Cyclone fans. Tailgating, Cyclone football, Cyclone basketball, being a diehard, etc. is literally part of the core identity of my entire extended family. The love is absolutely real.
So yeah, I think it’s kinda OK for diehard fans (for decades upon decades) to be bummed out or frustrated after a sh*tty game, and yeah - maybe even more frustrated than a coaching staff that, in large part, has no history or fandom connection to Iowa State.
And no, there’s nothing logical about being ‘angry’ over a loss in a college football game. The illogical nature of it is baked into being a fanatic.
Frankly, that’s nuts dude. Is your Mom’s livelihood dependent on if the team wins or loses? I’m going to guess there are literally 0 repercussions on your Mom, you or most of any of our day to day lives of the Cyclones win or lose.
This is the type of **** thinking that gets schools like Auburn and A&M and Texas and that ilk into the years of dreck they went through.
