"We want tiller"

Tiller showed that he can play, and he got some valuable reps for the time when he's the man.

Tiller didn't really play any better than Arnaud:

AA: 10/22, 79 yards, 4 INT's, 9 rushes/56 yards, QB Rating 39.26
JT: 3/9, 34 yards, 1 INT, 2 rushes/27 yards, QB Rating 42.85

Man, shoulda put in the Buekenator.

You know, I forgot about him. For this year's offensive personnel, I think a pro style power run game type offense might have some success. I don't see any home run hitters in our WRs. The TEs are serviceable. If Bo Williams is as advertised, Bo and A-Rob switching up running behind Schwartz could work.

At some point you have to cut your losses with Arnaud and start looking at the future with a new QB. Anyone have any info on Bueker? Strengths? Weaknesses? Seems like he throws a decent ball. I don't need 100yrds rushing out of my QB.

I can't even begin to explain what's wrong with this post

I think you may have missed the intended sarcasm.

Last year at this time Arnaud was a saint, now he's a pariah.

Were the receivers ever getting open even? Cant really tell on tv, but it didnt look like it. On tv it didnt really look like Arnaud had too many options. Not saying Arnaud didnt have a bad game....

It didn't matter. He locks onto a receiver as soon as he gets the snap.

Yep. That's what makes me think Herman's Mensa offsense is too complex for our players to execute. Especially when it appears he is using his entire playbook of formations and routes, and the entire team has been exposed to it only since spring ball.

But he did the exact same thing last season. I don't know if he struggles to read coverages, or if he trusts his arm too much, or what the issue is, but locking on to receivers isn't an issue that just came up from nowhere.

Evidently only players at Rice are capable of grasping his offense?

for everyone that said that..... i dont want to be associated with you ever. So, from me and on behalf of real cyclone fans, good bye.

I know Arnaud was not playing well TODAY but give me a break. If you want to call for the next best quarterback in line, go to EIU.

sorry, end of rant.

same fans that were chanting the 'f' word last game. And to think some of us on this board make fun of Iowa fans for being a disgrace, trailer fan, or 'tavern hawks'......

disgraceful to treat ONE OF OUR OWN that way.

This is what I am trying to say. Given the personnel this year, use a system that plays to everyone's strengths. I am seeing a square peg in round hole with this offense.

Not to worry Reed and Whitver sez we're gonna win next week!!!!

Are you saying the spread offense is NOT our strength?? You could be right at this point of the season!!!!

Yup, that Mensa offense was the one that led to bad reads downfield and tipped balls.

You can't dis a QB when it's only his 2nd game with the spread and a new coaching staff, new playbook and everything. Give the kid a little time to develop into all of these things.

Just want to point out that Tiller in his second game looked like he was quicker to make decisions. Just wanted to point that out...and he looks like he has true speed.
