WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

The top 12 comment was silly but it's pretty ridiculous that Iowa isn't ranked. Anyone being objective can admit that.

It's not like they are getting dissed by the voters, they are #26. If O'Grady can keep playing like she has ( she's had a couple of great games) they will be ranked soon. I thought the freshman post would be starting but I see why she isn't with the way O'Grady has been handling the pass and scoring. If there's one thing the Hawks have excelled at from Gustafson till now is feeding the post. Another thing I noticed is Stuekle looks to have really improved her free throw shoot. If she could hit75% it would be pretty big deal.

If they beat Kansas and Washington State this week they will certainly jump up a few spots next week.

The teams in the AP Top 25 that lost last week lost to other teams in the AP Top 25, so it's not like these teams lost to non-ranked teams. Heck, Alabama dropped in the AP Poll and didn't lose.

Obviously didn't watch (6:00 game like ours was) but Iowa beat Kansas 71-58 in Sioux Falls last night. Out scored the Jayhawks 18-4 in the 1st quarter and lead by 11 at half. Per box score they pretty much led by 10-15 the entire game.

Last years Jayhawk freshman star, S'Mya Nichols, lead the Boo Hawks with 26 PTS.

Stuelke had a double/double for 16/10 and Lucy Olsen also had 16 PTS for Iowa. Some Hawk fans were grumping about Stuelke not hustling in their last couple of game but guess they are happy with this one.

KU doesn’t have much to talk about so far this season. Will be interesting to see if they develop enough to make the post season.

Hawks smoked Washington State this afternoon. Channel flipped in for a bit of it and just checked box after finishing yard work. Scored a lot of points in the paint but were brutal from three (12%) and from the line (57%) but still won by 30. This is not the high octane score 90 a game Caitlin Clark Hawks. They do look to play better defense. For all the talk of Lucy Olsen's scoring she also looks to be a pretty good defender.

Lot's of travel for them prior to our game in IC on the 11th. They go to Cancun to play Rhode Island and Big 12 team BYU. Than off to NY to play Tennessee. They'll have four P5 games under their belt before our game with WSU being their only one at Carver so they will be pretty seasoned by time of our game. This "should be" a great game for national TV.
