Utah Tech is the newest name for Dixie State College -- the JUCO where McCarney found Walter Nickel (TE) and the Fisher twins (OL).
Since then, they've gone from a JUCO to a 4-year school to D-II and now transitioning to D-I.
Wish Kansas/Nebraska as not on at the same time as our game. Would have taken a peek at that one.
The rest of the slate is garbage. TT vs Oregon State in a battle of two teams that maybe had the weakest non-conference schedules in P6. Woof.
Going down to Division 3 for a moment I'm watching Coe and Pacific on YouTube and Coe hit a 3/4 court buzzer beater at the end of the 1st qtr and a half-court buzzer beater at the end of the 2nd qtr.

My middle child, a daughter, graduated from Luther. She ran track one year, then focused on choir and her studies. Anyway, she has an anti-Wartburg world view. If I was passing thru Waverly for work, I’d take a selfie in front of the Wartburg sign to antagonize her! Lutheran rivalries crack me up!
