Walking Dead

My two cents on "scouting" the Saviors...Dwight doesn't seem to be all that happy with being there...maybe he will nut up eventually and help out.

And Negan is still far and away the most annoying villian they've had on there. I don't do well with people who use mind-******* as a tool...maybe it works too well on me? :)

I was gone last Sunday and my son deleted the last episode. Maybe I should go all Negan on him!! I was crushed when he told me that he deleted it.

Outside of Maggie in episode 1, the acting seems to have taken a major step forward this season. Even Darryl was getting a bit annoying last year, but this last episode he was really good (even though he didn't say much). We'll see if I still think that once Carl is back in the mix.

Am I the only one still watching? Is this thread even going to be a thing anymore? FWIW, I'm tired of the whole Negan thing already.

I'm not tired of it because knowing him from the comics he has a huge role to play in the whole story but I do think that the pendulum is swinging way too far in Negan's favor and it's getting to be too much. I get that they are trying to pump up how bad Negan and his group are but they are basically making Rick and company look worthless in the process and these are the guys that took down the governor, Terminus, etc.

Negan doesnt hide, not sure why someone doesnt snipe his ass. I get that hes integral to the story, it just makes me chuckle that people like him live. The dude from a week ago who Dwight killed on the road wanted to die because he couldnt handle that life anymore....if youre gonna end it, why not end it sticking Negan in the skull with a pitchfork.

I understand that you need to drive a story-line...but I just.don't.like.Negan. I don't even like to dislike him, like I did the Governor and a few others.
I despise people who prey on others...even more-so the ones that do it for their own pleasure. I'm watching, but I'm not particularly enjoying it.

People often mistake being an a-hole for strength and people naturally want to follow strength. In truth it takes much more strength to lead benevolently than by name calling, manipulation and threats.

Even if Dwight wants out, he still needs to die. I hate that turd.

So far...meh for the season. Meh. My wife and I used to be frantically trying to get the kids to bed so we could watch the episode on DVR, not so much anymore. We used to HAVE to watch Talking Dead but we have not seen a full episode in quite awhile.

We tried watching after this seasons premiere and seeing the way they treated the deaths of Abraham and Glenn and how people were taking it, I couldn't take it anymore. It's a stinking show people. Apparently people need safe spaces now for everything. What a joke we've become.

I'm just tired of the way Negan bobs and weaves every time he talks. I think he watched Happy Days and Fonzie too much.

Negan and Ezekiel are introduced around the same time in the comics too and I think they're meant to be the similar examples of a real person playing a fictional character but with different motives in their heart. There's a lot of debate right now about how genuine or "playing a character" our leadership is so I find it pretty fascinating.

In contrast the Hilltop and Alexandrea are led by an archetype sheriff and an archetype slimy politician. Rick and Gregory are clearly themselves as leaders even though they are just as different as Ezekiel and Negan.

Kinda feeling the same way. I kept thinking, "I'm tired of Negan already." I'm ready for them to do away with the character and move on to something else. I'm not interested and I don't find him compelling, just annoying AF.
