Verdict in Anthony Trial

Shocker: She already has an offer from Vivid Video.

Well... as we discovered during the trial through the train of ex boyfriends and sexual partners that took the stand along with her lawyer calling her a slut in open court.... I bet she would jump at the offer to get on her back and get paid to do it.

So, she won her case and now has to reimburse the state for all the money they piled into the investigation/case etc...

Putting all emotions aside, that just dosen't seem right...I agree she should have to pay, if the lying to the police during the investigation cost the state anymore money (because she was found guilty for that), but not nearly what they are asking for...

she doesn't have to pay for the prosecution's case against her- yet. They still have to have a hearing to determine if the taxpayers get some of that back. Did balloon boy's dad have to pay for the blackhawk that went after it? Seems like she should have to pay for some of the investigator's time, but surely not north of $1mil.

This part disgusts me as much as her getting a not guilty verdict. She will get a book or movie deal maybe even a reality show. This is why sometimes I think we are a very ****** up country.

.....and she lost her child and has spent 3+ years in jail, as well as being demonized nationwide by the media. What will her life be like from now on? You only know what the media has allowed you to see about the trial proceedings, and virtually zero about Casey Anthony. I am amazed how some people think they are smarter than the system in place....and you think the country is ******up?

Jurors starting to come forward:

Tearful Anthony jurors ask prosecutors, where was the evidence? – This Just In - CNN.com Blogs

Sounds like they wanted to convict, but the evidence wasn't there.

Two jurors in the Casey Anthony trial say they wish the outcome had been different but prosecutors did not present enough evidence to convict Anthony of killing her daughter, Caylee, according to news reports Thursday

And what is wrong with this statement? The jury was predisposed to vote guily because they did not like CA? This just shows that the prosecution`s case was incredibly weak.

Seems to me this is an attempt to make sure she doesn't profit from the story. Technically, she can do whatever she wants to make money afterwards, but if the State can stick her with costs and fines that should inhibit her ability to really profit all of this.

I also think that the Judge's sentencing order was beneficial for her. She can serve out the rest of her term and not have to worry about being on paper with probation/parole and it will give her some time to consider how/where she wants to reenter the community.

I agree it is an attempt to make sure she doesn't profit from the story BUT she was found not guilty. The only repercussions she should have to face are from the charges she was found guilty of.

I am just trying to put some logic behind this and not condoling anything she may or may not have done...

What system is-- the "if she looks guilty and acts guilty she obviously is guilty" system?
I'm just saying that the "system" can get it wrong, and I think in this case they got it wrong. The "system" failed the little girl, from beginning to end. Maybe there isn't a better way to do it, and I agree it's better to err on the side of not wrongfully convicting people.

I agree. I believe she did it, but the burden of proof is on the prosecutors. Having her walk the streets a free person (possible murderer) is better than having her executed on circumstancial evidence.
The only part of the trial I watched was the closing arguments from the defense. I came away from that with the feeling that she would be found not guilty, based on lack of concrete evidence.
