Shocker: She already has an offer from Vivid Video.
She gets 4 years, with credit of time served. 1 year for each count of lying.

Casey Anthony Sentenced to Jail for Lying to Police During Investigation Into Daughter Caylee's Disappearance - FoxNews.com
This part disgusts me as much as her getting a not guilty verdict. She will get a book or movie deal maybe even a reality show. This is why sometimes I think we are a very ****** up country.
Fixed!
Jurors starting to come forward:

Sounds like they wanted to convict, but the evidence wasn't there.
So, she won her case and now has to reimburse the state for all the money they piled into the investigation/case etc...
Putting all emotions aside, that just dosen't seem right...I agree she should have to pay, if the lying to the police during the investigation cost the state anymore money (because she was found guilty for that), but not nearly what they are asking for...
justice was served as it relates to the evidence presented.....but I hope she suffers a miserable life.
The system is not infallible.you make my point easy.....because you are smarter than the system
The system is not infallible.
Seems to me this is an attempt to make sure she doesn't profit from the story. Technically, she can do whatever she wants to make money afterwards, but if the State can stick her with costs and fines that should inhibit her ability to really profit all of this.
I also think that the Judge's sentencing order was beneficial for her. She can serve out the rest of her term and not have to worry about being on paper with probation/parole and it will give her some time to consider how/where she wants to reenter the community.
I'm just saying that the "system" can get it wrong, and I think in this case they got it wrong. The "system" failed the little girl, from beginning to end. Maybe there isn't a better way to do it, and I agree it's better to err on the side of not wrongfully convicting people. What system is-- the "if she looks guilty and acts guilty she obviously is guilty" system?
