Have only had first Moderna. I didn’t even realize they had poked me and had no reaction at all. Had worse reactions to flu shot.

Husband had no reaction with either Moderna. Got his second in January. One of his coworkers did have fatigue on her second one. Hoping my second goes as well, easy day to remember, 4/20.
I get my 2nd Moderna the day after you! Let me know if you die.

The arm soreness part seems gender related to me, at least anecdotally. My wife, her sister, and several mutual female friends all complained of a very sore, tender arm. Like I joked about play punching my wife in her arm and she threatened extreme violence if I did that. On the other hand I barely felt anything in my arm and I haven't heard of any excessive soreness from male friends and family members of mine who've had the vaccine. Could just be coincidence though.

I've read that younger women have worse symptoms. First dose both toddler and spouse hit my arm (forgetting) and I was highly displeased with both of them. I threatened spouse with a matching hit to his own sensitive body parts so I'm with your wife there.

Got my first Pfizer yesterday. Arm hurt more than flu shot. Felt rough, tired and achy yesterday and today. I usually react the same to flu shots but this was a little worse. Still, I went about my day as normal with a bit of a nap both days. Like a mild illness. I'm a little worried the 2nd shot will knock me on my ass, but whatever. It's worth it.

My brother listens to police scanner 24/7/365. He says lots of folks call 911 with bad vaccine reactions. On that basis, he decided against getting the jab. I got my first jab of Pfizer, don't really feel like getting the second, especially since I read that it doesn't work against the new 'South African' variant that is making the rounds.

1st shot of Pfizer I couldn't lift my arm above my head for 3 days. It took about 6 hrs after the shot when it began to hurt. Doesn't matter still looking forward to getting my 2nd shot and getting this put behind us.
Makes sense. You had COVID, so the first shot would be like a second shot for someone who didnt already have antibodies. Ive seen quite a bit of anecdotal evidence supporting the idea that shot 1 is roughest for those who already had antibodies.

Everything Ive seen suggests, that while the vaccine is somewhat less effective against the South African variant, that it is still effective. To say it "doesn't work" is a gross overstatement.

I get around
Looks like we are headed to the cave....:oops:
I hope not because I think the various side-effects/reactions that people are having to the vaccine are interesting. The wife and I have had both of the Pfizer doses and really didn't have much side effects/reactions if any. The shot arm was a little achy for less than a day after the second one. I took a Tylenol a couple of hours after the second just in case.

Wonder if the difference in reaction to the vaccine is any indicator of how different people would’ve fared had they actually gotten the virus?

Seems like anyone I’ve heard having a reaction had previously had COVID (of varying degrees). I wonder if the vac is spiking a still increased level of proteins/antibodies.
