Unbelievable High School Mascots

I have family that lives in Fulton, Illinois. Their kids go to high school at Fulton-Unity Christian. So that makes them Fulton-Unity Christian Knights.

Someone didn't think that one through.
I’m just picturing the fans spelling this out like they do at Iowa. A cheerleader in each corner of the stadium waiving a flag. F... U... C...

Not funny per se, but I always thought it was fantastic that Johnny Orr played for the Taylorville Tornadoes in hs. Didn't know it until we drove thru the town one time.

Waterloo West is the Wahawks. Literally just a made up word. Stuck the first two letters of Waterloo with the Back half of the county name and went for it.

School Colors? Old Rose (light pink) and Black.

Loved playing Altered Beast!!

I just had this memory . . . in 8th or 9th grade (roughly) of going to Central College in Pella for some kind of conference (speech meet or something)? They had an Altered Beast arcade game in the lounge where the kids went between events. Spent pretty much 99% of my free time that day playing it or watching others play it.

So we have the Wahawks, the MoHawks, and the KoHawks. Any more two letter-hawk nicknames we can find in the state?

There's an all-girls Catholic high school in Aurora, IL...and they're the Rosary High School Beads.

There's also the Lockport Porters...who were in my high school's conference.

And in Omaha, the Benson Bunnies...oh, sorry. The MIGHTY Bunnies.
