I really don't understand how this is any different than Curtis Stinson and other college athletes playing on the same team as Stephon Starbury on the rucker league games. It's a complete joke.
Good point... I play baseball in local league with a bunch of college kids... Are they all ineligable now because I have played professionally?

Did you miss the part where he wasn't paid anything? His teammates were paid, but not him. Thus the :realmad::realmad::wacko::wacko::realmad::realmad: around here
Honestly this is one of the first things I thought of. I hope he sticks around for the good of the team, but honestly I couldn't blame him for moving on. Just one #$@$storm after another with the NCAA and this program. Unbelievable.
wow, took me a while to catch up to the end of this thread. I'm with you...don't panic until it has all settled down. We got a hard fight on our hands, so hopefully our AD is up to the challenge...time to man-up. This is so obvious bs!! :skeptical:
Yeah, but it will take the NCAA until April 8, 2008 to make a decision on the appeal.
FYI...the National Championship will be played on April 7th. :realmad:
This seems like a stupid question, but I am sure that JP is also getting overwhelmed with emails and calls to know how outraged fans are over this. If not, I am sure that he will read it here on CF.
I'm just as pissed as anyone else about this, but let's focus on being practical and active about getting this turned the other way. I think some sort of alliance with Washington State is a good idea. They are hardly a traditional basketball power, but they were a #3 seed in the tournament last year. Greg said something along these lines in the article this morning about two schools from the Big 12 and Pac-10 being affected, so it seems like he's thinking along those same lines.
For those would be in the know more than I am, how likely would an appeal be? I do think we have a good case on our side, just from the facts.

Well they obviously knew about it on Wednesday, so I'm sure Pollard is looking into it already. Honestly I hope Lucca gets a lawyer and sues the NCAA, backed by both ISU and WSU. I posted about this on Wazzu's msg board already this morning.
